Prisoners Greetings!

Hey Prisoner!

A Prisoner is a person who is confined and kept in custody; deprived of liberty or kept in restraint. EACH ONE of us is a Prisoner of either God or Satan and we can't overlook also of carnality!

Romans 6:16-Know ye not, that to whom ye yield yourselves servants to obey, his servants ye are to whom ye obey; whether of sin unto death, or of obedience unto righteousness? Additionally, we are all Prisoners of various habits and actions. For some people it may be laziness, self-righteousness, over-eating, being a busy-body in other people's lives, shopping, prideful spirit, selfishness, smoking, drinking and the list goes on and on.....

Paul declares in Ephesians 4:1- I therefore, the prisoner of the Lord, beseech you that ye walk worthy of the vocation wherewith ye are called... NLT- Therefore I, a prisoner for serving the Lord, beg you to lead a life worthy of your calling, for you have been called by God. Paul willingly has chosen to submit as a Prisonerof Jesus Christ prior to encouraging us to submit to Jesus' Lordship. Paul was delighted, honored and proud to be a Prisoner of Jesus Christ.

Hey Prisoner!      (2 of 5)

Paul's mindset is crucial to remain as Prisoners of Jesus Christ.

Furthermore, if we don't consider it an honor to be Prisoners of Jesus Christ; then we don't know of or understand the awesome privilege of submitting ourselves to Him.

If we are going to influence other people, we must lead by example, for each of us has people watching our actions and observing our walk with Jesus.

People Following the Leader

Because of the urgent need to hear and obey the following directive, Paul goes on to beseech or beg us to do as the Spirit of God through him will next indicate.

Hey Prisoner!    (4 of 5)

Whether or not we fulfill our "Calling" is left to our "Free Will"! However, for our own good we must decide to be obedient and fulfill our "Calling".

We must be about our Father's business while it is day, for the night is coming when no man can work.  Each of us will have to give an account to God of the deeds we did or did not do in regards to our "Calling".

Human Body Parts

Romans 12:4 NLT- Just as our bodies have many parts and each part has a special function, V5- so it is with Christ's body. We are all parts of His one body, and each of us has different work (Callings) to do.

And since we are all one body in Christ, we belong to each other, and each of us needs all the others.

V6- God has given each of us the ability to do certain things well. So if God has given you the ability to prophesy, speak out when you have faith that God is speaking through you.V7- If your gift is that of serving others, serve them well. If you are a teacher, do a good job of teaching.

V8- If your gift is to encourage others, do it! If you have money, share it generously. If God has given you leadership ability, take the responsibility seriously. And if you have a gift for showing kindness to others, do it gladly.

Hey Dr. Lewis, Praise the Lord! It sure does feel good when the Lord gives us that "Fifteen Minutes!'  By the time we get it we really do need it!   But we do grow a lot in the process.  Thanks for this wonderful Word for the Day!  And we know that every day is the fight of our life!

Hey Prisoner!   (3 of 5)

We are to regulate and conduct our lives as reflecting the Lord Jesus Christ.

We are instructed that our lifestyles should emulate the actions and the Word of God our Father. We are to understand that we are Matthew 5:14-NLT- You are the light of the world--like a city on a mountain, glowing in the night for all to see.

   fruit

Then, The Fruit of Our Lives will declare loudly and boldly that we belong to and are Prisoners of Jesus Christ.

Since we can't compensate God or Christ for ALL that they have done for us; then we should say thank you by the lifestyles we live, and our words and actions should exemplify their Presence.

Hey Prisoner     (5 of 5)

The dash in our lives from birth to death defines the time-line we are to work and accomplish our "Holy Callings".

We are truly blessed when we respond to and remain in the Calling of God for we are told in Romans 8:28- And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to [his] purpose. NLT- And we know that God causes everything to work together for the good...

Therefore, for us who call ourselves Christians; we must be Christ-like and readily live the life of a Prisoner!

Therefore, because of our submitted lifestyle, the answer for each of us will be "Jesus Christ's" to the question of "WHOSE PRISONER ARE YOU?

Each of us is uniquely designed and tailored by God to do just what He called us to do.

Consider the Following Nuggets!

Be kinder than  necessary because everyone you meet is fighting some kind of battle.

A sharp tongue can cut your own throat.

If you want your  dreams to come true, you mustn't oversleep.

Of all the things you  wear, your expression is the most  important.

The best vitamin for  making friends..... B1.

The happiness of your  life depends on the quality of your  thoughts.

The  heaviest thing you can  carry is a grudge.

One thing you can give and still  keep..... is your word.

You lie the loudest  when you lie to yourself.

If you lack the courage to  start, you have already finished.

One thing you can't  recycle is wasted time.

Ideas won't work  unless ' You' do.

Your mind is like a  parachute...it functions only when open.

The 10 commandments  are not a multiple choice.

The pursuit of  happiness is the chase of a lifetime!
It is never too late to  become what you might have been.

Life is too short  to wake up with regrets.. So love the people who treat you  right.. Forget about the ones who don't. Believe everything  happens for a reason. If you get a  second chance, grab it with both hands. If it changes your  life, let it. Nobody said life would be easy, they just  promised it would beworth it.

Friends are like  balloons; Once you let them go, you might not get them  back.. Sometimes we get so busy with our own lives and  problems that we may not even notice that we've let them fly away. Sometimes we are so caught up in who's right and who's  wrong that we forget what's right and wrong. Sometimes we  just
don't realize what real friendship means until it is  too late. I don't want to let that happen so I'm going to tie  you to my heart so I never lose you.
