Greetings!
Fifteen Minutes
Many of us are familiar with professional sporting competitions; boxing matches, basketball and football games to name a few. Included in those events are "Times of Intermissions".
Those designed breaks provide players with opportunities to step out of the "Game of Competition" for a time of refreshment, renewal and re-strategizing. "Intermissions" do not imply that the competition is over; but rather that more is to come. The Lord-God Almighty also gives us "Times of Intermission" from the "Fight of Life" and its regular routines, sorrows and challenges!
When Daddy-God provides us with trips, vacations, unexpected gifts, checks, treats and etc., He is providing us with special "Fifteen Minutes" "Intermission Times". Expressions of favor, displays of love and appreciation are incredible experiences which make our hearts glad and generate smiles on our faces!

Fifteen Minutes (2 OF 5)
They are those times which Daddy-God through family, friends and even people we might not know provides us with experiences that are above and beyond what we could ever ask or think! Those "Intermission Times" are tailored to bless our individual hearts!

It is those "Times of Refreshment" that provides the "Spring Boards of Refreshment" to dive back into the "Fight of Life" and deal with all of its realities.
They are not literally "Fifteen Minutes" as measured by time, but it is to symbolize a short period of time compared to the greater length of time spent in the "Fight of Life". Those glorious "Fifteen Minutes" are like rain showers which both disappear as quickly as they come! They don't last long but are "Just What the Doctor Ordered!"
God's presence in those short "Intermission Times" provides the potency needed to refresh and enable us to overcome life's challenges which consume the majority time of living life.

Fifteen Minutes (4 OF 5)

He definitely monitors all things and times which concerns His children! This is why Jesus told His Disciples in Mark 6:31- And he said unto them, Come ye yourselves apart into a desert place, and rest a while: for there were many coming and going and they had no leisure so much as to eat.
This assures us that along the course of life Daddy God will provide those "Fifteen Minutes" of "Intermission Times" of awesome experiences to refresh and renew us.
This assurance frees us to focus on being faithful to God in the "Fight of Life" and to accomplish His will for our lives.
It frees us from having to worry and to be concerned about trying to provide for ourselves a quality of life which consumes our attention and energies.
By embracing the reality that God really loves you will provides those special times will enables us to focus on completing His Kingdom assignments.

Justus Williams is Crowned Youngest Black Chess Master
New Yorker Justus Williams, 12, has set the record as the youngest black chess player ever to reach the level of chess master.
"I am really proud of Justus because he keeps breaking records and making history," said Latisha Ballard, Justus' mother, after the young chess whiz hit the 2,200 point barrier during a chess event on September 23 to achieve the master rating.
The U.S. Chess Federation awards the title of National Master to anyone who earns a USCF rating of 2,200.
Another New Yorker, Kassa Korley, 16, had held the record as the youngest black chess master.
Justus achieved the master ranking just weeks after a disappointing performance at his first international competition, the Pan-American Youth Chess Festival in Brazil.
Ballard said he was compromised by the language barrier and had trouble understanding the tournament rules for the event.
Justus is currently the highest-rated chess player in the United States in his age and gender group and ranks fourth overall in the World Chess Federation international rankings for age group.

This is beautiful Pastor Tonya! Pastor Harris
Hello Dr. Lewis: Thank you for the powerful messages. Wow! I needed a little boost today. Thanks for your continued commitment to sharing God's word. I appreciate you very much. Love you-JG
Dear Dr. Lewis: I heard the Holy Spirit say to me "go to the woman who was good to you during the time of your sister's departure." So, I went to your class Sunday before last. Right after your class I was in the court yard, my phone rang. I left your class and was told that Aunt Bessie passed away. Aunt Bessie was the baby sitter for my older daughter who is 42 years of age. She also was one of the caretakers for my sister right up to my sister's death. Her niece called me right after I left your class. You see the Holy Spirit comforted me before I got the call by sending me to your class - I was able to bear the news of Aunt Bessie's death because of the Holy Spirit's prompting. She had been even closer to me after my sister's death.Thank God for good memories.TM
Enjoyed today's newsletter, Dr. Lewis. The poem at the end was a touchy, inspiring thought. Thanks for sharing Walter Hawkins song: "Thank You Lord, for all you've done for Me," I was singing that song today at church. Thanks for such a united spirit in Christ. Take Care! A S

Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! I am so very thankful for the memories that the Lord has put in my life. They help me so very much and I know there will be more to come as you said. Thinking back on loved ones that are now gone wonderful memories of my mom help me everyday to get through her passing, not over it yet even though it has been over ten years. Seems like yesterday, but the good memories help me a whole lot and not just that one but all of the good memories. There are a lot of them and you are right they do keep you going! I am thinking about my brother-in-law smile right now! Thanks again, you always send the right word at the right time and I know that is the Lord using you! Thank you for letting Him use you to help others, and I pray you will also be very blessed because of it!!! love you lots! VL
How funny that this is your topic this week. I was up looking at old photos last night and remembering how faithful God has been and how many truly wonderful life experiences I have been blessed to have. And considering the faithfulness of God, that the best is still yet to come. What a journey. How amazing HE is! Thank you for sharing! MH

Fifteen Minutes (3 OF 5)
Those short periods of time displays the POWERFUL ability of our great God to do wonders with little.
Of course this principal is illustrated throughout God's Word; Gideon's army (Judges 8th chapter) and the feeding of the multitude in Matthew 14:19-And he (Jesus) commanded the multitude to sit down on the grass, and took the five loaves, and the two fishes, and looking up to heaven, he blessed, and brake, and gave the loaves to [his] disciples, and the disciples to the multitude. 20- And they did all eat, and were filled: and they took up of the fragments that remained twelve baskets full.
Know that Daddy God is not going to overwhelm us with the "Fight of Life" but will intermix opportunities of rest, fun and enjoyment.

He was the One who said: To every [thing there is] a season, and a time to every purpose under the Heaven (Ecclesiastes 3:1).

Fifteen Minutes (5 OF 5)
This assurance also builds our faith in our Heavenly Father that He sees, cares and will provides those "Needed" Times of Refreshment.
This assurance should motivate us to maximize the performance of our Kingdom assignments.
Ultimately Daddy-God is our Employer and whatsoever is right is what He will reward us with along the "Journey of Life". Don't be embarrassed or focus on what the "Haters" will say or do when your "Fifteen Minutes" come your way! Let your focus be on Luke 12:32- Fear not, little flock; for it is your Father's good pleasure to give you the kingdom.
Realize that it is one of the rich benefits of being in fellowship with Daddy-God! So, ENJOY to the fullest your "Fifteen Minutes" of "Intermission"!

Then DIVE back into the "Fight of Life" and faithfully FIGHT, FIGHT, FIGHT and WORK, WORK, WORK! Before you know it; Daddy-God will provide another "Intermission Time" for you!
