We Should Be Excited!!! |
|
Greetings!
Excited means to arouse or stir up (emotions or feelings), to awaken! This describes the emotions Christians should have concerning our earthly lives and definitely our eternal destination! Our excitement has nothing to do with current or economical conditions but is generated from our privilege in knowing the promises of God-Almighty! Because Jesus lives, we can have hope and faith in dire circumstances! We can certainly know by faith there is sunshine on the other side of the dark cloud in our lives!
Therefore, when we are tempted to feel depressed, down and out, we can quote Psalm 34:2
NLT: I will boast only in the LORD; let all who are discouraged take heart.
"We Should Be Excited" because we have the blessed promises of God Almighty!
"We Should Be Excited" because no matter how much or to what degree we have experienced the joys and great times of life; "The Best is Yet to Come".

We Should Be
Excited!
(1 of 5)

Why would Daddy-God allow us to experience the very best in prior years and no longer be able to anticipate new and additional blessings and joys on this side of Heaven? If this were the case in point, there would not be any motivation to pursue, know and love the Lord.
While we don't follow Him and love Him exclusively for the "Fishes and Loaves", the anticipation and excitement of a greater experience with Him does motivate us to live and hold fast to Him! It is truly amazing how Daddy-God may cause us to meet certain people months or years in advance or establishes us at certain locations, etc., because He is planning to use them later in our lives to bless us. As we mature in the Lord and age naturally, we learn to be excited about whatever happens in our lives when we are in fellowship with the Lord!
This is because in our experience with Daddy-God we learn He is only setting up for "The Overflow" to happen in our lives! Psalm 34:8 NLT- Taste and see that the LORD is good. Oh, the joys of those who trust in him! V. 9 NLT-Let the LORD's people show Him reverence, for those who honor Him will have all they need. This is why "We Should Be Excited" because Daddy-God is up to "something" in our lives!

We Should Be Excited! (2 of 5)

It has been proven time and again that "That Something" doesn't have to be defined for us to become excited, for we can trust His love, care and plan for our lives. If we are tempted to have pity parties, we should inquire of ourselves Psalm 45: 5-Why art thou cast down, O my soul? And [why] art thou disquieted in me? Hope thou in God: for I shall yet praise him [for] the help of his countenance.
We are to encourage and command ourselves regarding Psalms 46:10--To be still, and to know that He is God: that He will be exalted among the heathen and that He will be exalted in the earth. Daddy-God will truly "Show Up" in our lives to "Show Out"! Psalm 34:10 NLT-Even strong young lions sometimes go hungry, but those who trust in the LORD will never lack any good thing. Daddy-God gives the grace to be content with our current situations until "The Better" comes. Daddy-God is an awesome Father! He loves to love on us, in us, through us and around us! He loves to share His love with us so that we can share His love with others!

We Should Be Excited! (3 of 5)

Although we do not know what is next or will unfold for our lives even now as we are reading this "Holy Ghost Unction"; we know that "We Should Be Excited"!
We refer to scripture as written in Esther 6:1. The Lord did not allow the king to sleep while Mordecai was sleeping. This was because it was time for Mordecai to be blessed due to a previous action for which he had not been rewarded. Daddy-God will even have our enemies as was the case of Haman to Mordecai to plan our celebration while we are unaware that "It is in the Works"!
No! Your life is not over although there have been major successes and failures in your life!
Yes! Daddy-God has a plan for your life that others may observe and wonder how you merited receiving "Those Blessings"! Yes, they will even utilize their precious time and energy trying to figure out about the "Holy Ghost Outpouring" in your life! Don't worry about that, for Daddy-God's design is to use our lives to "GREATLY BROADCAST" to the world who He is and why it pays to be in righteous fellowship with Him!

We Should Be Excited!
(4 of 5)

We are definitely designed by God to fulfill Matthew 5:14- Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hid. (NLT-...glowing in the night for all to see.)
Along with Daddy-God's assurance that He will continue to unfold His awesome plan for our lives; we must commit to continuous submission to His Word and Lord-ship over our lives.
Yes, we are blessed to experience blessings that are generated from the love of Daddy-God for us; for we are told in Matthew 5:45-That ye may be the children of your Father which is in heaven: for He maketh His sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sendeth rain on the just and on the unjust. Immature people expect to receive all of the good "gifts" without having any obligation in return; many times not taking the time to say "Thank You"!
However, mature people know that not only can they look forward to receiving gifts and blessings; but that they also have obligations to their jobs, relationships and the providers of blessings!

We Should Be Excited! ( 5 of 5)

We must continue to obey Jesus as per Matthew 22:37-...Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind and v. 39-Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself. V. 40-On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets. (NLT-All the other commandments and all the demands of the prophets are based on these two commandments.")
If we have peace with the Father through obedience to His Word, then we will have the peace of God which gives us the opportunity to be excited for our upcoming days and years!
Stay faithful to God and then you can be assured of having the "Pleasure of Excitement" which will unfold in your life!!! Know that you are loved and there are awesome experiences awaiting you in Daddy-God's perfect timing for your life!! Please click here--In His Time (with lyrics) |
Southern California Edison Lamp Exchange
Hey everybody. Put this on your calendar for September. You can upgrade the lamps in your house (don't put them in the trash bin this week).
So CA Edison is exchanging your old lamps, for energy efficient lamps, plus free light bulbs. It takes place Sept 18th and 19th in Torrance . They will take up to 10 lamps! You can go online to pick which one's you want. My friend went to the one in City of Industry . He said they just put them in a bin. He got 6 free lamps for six old ones. They take desk lamps, table lamps, or floor lamps. Please go on the web site for review, and tell everyone you know.

Dearest Dr. Tonya and the
One Faith Fellowship Board,
I would like to thank you and express my heartfelt appreciation so much for selecting me as one of your honorees at your 2010 One Faith Breakfast on last Saturday. The kind gesture was so special and dear to me, and I felt so undeserving of this.
But I give God all the glory, because it is always my prayer that HIS will and HIS works are shown through me to be a blessing. So whatever I did to deserve such a recognition by such wonderful women of God such as yourselves, to me is an honor and blessing in itself! As I sat there at the breakfast listening to the reasons why you do this recognition, the Lord spoke to me and the scripture came into my head that" Love covers a multitude of faults", and I realized that when we truly say we love someone, we only see the best or the good in them, never the bad. I then realized, this is how God sees us daily! He loves us so much, He only sees the best in us and His word always encourages us!
I would like to say thank you so much again and God Bless you and your ministry.
Forever Encouraged,
Dawn Harris Patton

Morehouse Whiz Kid is Causing a Stir: 13-Year-Old Dominates College
At thirteen years of age, Stephen Stafford is causing quite a stir at Morehouse College . Stafford has a triple major in pre-med, math and computer science. Though he loves playing video games and playing his drum set, he is no typical teenager.
"I've never taught a student as young as Stephen, and it's been amazing," said computer science professor Sonya Dennis. "He's motivating other students to do better and makes them want to step up their game."
Stafford began his college career at the age of 11, after being home-schooled by his mother. Stafford's mother said that when Stafford began to teach her instead of being taught by her, she knew he needed to be in a college environment.
Now THAT'S what I'm talking about. Stephen Stafford, in my opinion, represents exactly what black men are about: Intelligence, ambition and high academic achievement. This is not to disrespect men in other walks of life, but the truth is that you will never see Stephen Stafford's accomplishments promoted like a rap music video.
We must, as a community, applaud and uphold this young man. We must cheer for him as if he averages 40 points a game. We should converse about his achievements as if he had released a platinum hip-hop album. He should get the same respect as every linebacker, point guard or hip-hop artist in America .
Corporate America will not blow Stephen's trumpet, but I will. I also want all the other Stephen Staffords to make themselves seen. There are hundreds of thousands of Stephen Staffords out there who've been convinced by a culture of thuggery that they should do their best to hide their greatness. Rather than acing math class, they've been taught to measure grams and kilos or to memorize football playbooks that are 100 pages thick. Our young men can analyze the triangle offense in basketball and break down a nickel defense, but then become mentally deficient when it comes to doing algebra, science and social studies. The time for mediocrity is over, since education is the key to making your dreams come true. Sports only creates more nightmares for most of the young men who sacrifice their education in order to be athletes (even those who become professionals). This doesn't mean that athletes don't deserve our respect; instead, it means that we've got to learn to separate the hype from reality.
Stephen will make more money than nearly all of his athletic friends, because education produces economic empowerment. He will also have more personal freedom and professional fulfillment. He will live the American dream, and I encourage all of you to make your own sons into the next Stephen Stafford.
The recipe for our kids is simple:
1) Spend as much time studying as you spend playing sports or working at fast food restaurant jobs. If a kid can work 8 hours for McDonalds, then he can study 4 hours a day in the library.
2) Don't let anyone convince you that you can't achieve whatever you put your mind to. No one has the right to define you or your child. Because my grades were horrible in high school, I was told that I wasn't smart enough to go to college and (like millions of black boys across America ) recommended for special education. Later on, I became the only African American in the world to earn a PhD in Finance during the year 2002. I didn't earn the degree because I was brilliant. I actually earned it because I finally realized that I had the ability and determination to make my dream into a reality.
Just by studying 4 to 5 hours per day (less than the number of hours they would put in to working a minimum wage job), almost any child in America can get a college degree and become a doctor, lawyer or whatever they want. If George Bush can go to Harvard, then every kid in America can graduate from college if they choose to do so. I've taught college for 16 years, and I can tell you that the term "college material" needs to be abolished. Every child is college material if they want to be. That's the truth.
