WHO'S WHO IN GOSPEL MUSIC TO CELEBRATE LIFE OF GRAMMY WINNER BISHOP WALTER HAWKINS WITH A-LIST CONCERT AT THE PARAMOUNT THEATER Tuesday, July 20, 2010 @ 7:00 PM PST (Free Admission)
Musical Celebration Features Yolanda Adams, Mary Mary and Bebe Winans
Funeral: Wednesday, July 21, 2010 @ 11:00 AM PST At The Paramount Theater Oakland, CA: A who's who of the gospel world is gathering to pay final respects to Grammy Award winning gospel legend, Bishop Walter Hawkins, who passed away July 11th after a two-year battle with pancreatic cancer.
On Tuesday, July 20th, some of the biggest names in gospel music will congregate at The Paramount Theater for a musical salute to Walter Hawkins who is known for his classic gospel songs such as "Goin' Up Yonder," "Marvelous," and "What is This?"
The musical celebration is titled, The Man, the Music, The Ministry: A Musical Salute to Bishop Walter Hawkins." Among the stars confirmed to sing Hawkins' evergreen compositions are platinum artists such as Yolanda Adams, Mary Mary, and Donnie McClurkin.
Also performing is Hawkins' sister, Lynnette Hawkins, R&B artist Ledisi, Karen Clark Sheard, Daryl Coley, Vanessa Bell Armstrong, Byron Cage, Melvin & Doug Williams of The Williams Brothers, guitarist Jonathan DuBose Jr., D.J. Rogers, and The Love Center Choir.
Making a special appearance will be Hawkins' longtime vocal muse and former wife, Lady Tramaine Hawkins, whose dramatic vocals were featured on Walter Hawkins masterpieces such as "Changed," "Goin' Up Yonder," and "He's That Kind of Friend."
The music directors for the evening will include Hawkin''s brother, Edwin Hawkins, Donald Lawrence, Kurt Carr, Richard Smallwood, and Hawkins' longtime music director, Rusty Watson.
The masters of ceremonies duties will be shared by Bebe Winans, Marvin Winans, and Black Entertainment Television (BET) personality, Dr. Bobby Jones.
The concert takes place Tuesday, July 20, 2010 @ 7:00 pm at the Paramount Theatre, 2025 Broadway, Oakland, CA 94612-2303.

The funeral will take place the following morning, Wednesday, July 21, 2010 @ 11:00 am at the Paramount Theater.
Bishop Kenneth Moales (of Prayer Tabernacle Church of Love, Inc. in Bridgeport, CT) will officiate at the ceremony.

Daddy-God recently reemphasized a Kingdom Jewel: "Let Me fix you so that I can give you what I have for you"!
To be "fixed" is defined as change, correction and to become more developed in thought and action.
Each of us can attest to being immensely blessed by Daddy-God and to be reminded there is even more blessed experiences with Him should stir excitement in our hearts!
Because we experience changes in our being that enriches our lives, sometimes we think that we have "Arrived" at the state of Perfection or Maturity!
Therefore, we feel that the Lord's correction doesn't need to be focused on us as it "NEEDS TO BE" on others!
This mentality is exactly why Daddy-God must remind us that although we are on the "Path of Maturity"; that we have not yet arrived or maximized our abilities.
Daddy-God expects "More" of surrender and obedience from our lives and to completely display His characteristics in a continuous fashion.
Therefore, His statement of "Let Me fix you so that I can give you what I have for you" is not solely for us to enlighten "those other people", but it is definitely a personal word to us also!

Daddy-God uses various means to "Fix" us; through trials, tribulations, persecutions, tears and prolonged answers to our prayers.
His original Garden of Eden-plan was not that we would experience difficult times in life.
However, because of Adam's choices, sin entered the world! As a result of sin, Daddy-God knows that difficult times are the only true times He has our attention and we are more receptive to Him "Fixing" us and our situations!
It is during those times that we willingly humble ourselves before Him and become putty in His hands to shape and form us after His own heart.
This is why Daddy-God repeatedly reminds us to trust Him even in times of adversity; whether we cause our suffering or are victims of suffering!
Daddy-God uses those times to "Fix", shape and mold us to chisel away the dross from our lives!!!
Remember, He is "fixing" us for our benefit; to mirror His image through our lives and also to advance us to the next level of blessings!
He truly is working all things together for our good.
His on-going encouragement to us is:
"Let Me fix you so that I can give you what I have for you"!

This means we have a "Full-Time" responsibility of continuously allowing ourselves to be "Fixed" by Daddy-God for the next level.
Therefore, He has outlined some developmental guidelines in Romans 12:17--21.
V. 17- Recompense to no man evil for evil. Provide things honest in the sight of all men.
NLT- Never pay back evil for evil to anyone. Do things in such a way that everyone can see you are honorable.
v. 18- If it be possible, as much as lieth in you, live peaceably with all men.
V. 19-Dearly beloved, avenge not yourselves, but [rather] give place unto wrath: for it is written, Vengeance [is] mine; I will repay, saith the Lord.
NLT-."I will take vengeance; I will repay those who deserve it," says the Lord.
V. 20- Therefore if thine enemy hunger, feed him; if he thirst, give him drink: for in so doing thou shalt heap coals of fire on his head.
NLT- ...and they will be ashamed of what they have done to you.
V. 21-Be not overcome of evil, but overcome evil with good.
NLT-Don't let evil get the best of you, but conquer evil by doing good.
Complying with the command of these verses will accomplish much in
allowing Daddy God to "Fix" us in becoming like Him and prepare us to
receive our next level of blessings!

Let Me "Fix" You!
To fulfill and execute the commands of Scripture is a Full-Time-Job for the following reasons:
( 1.) To remind Christians of how we should act and react to the experiences of "Just Living Life"; especially when
it is SO EASY to revert back and walk in our fleshly nature which is totally opposite of what God has outlined and commanded.
We can't deceive ourselves into thinking that we are so "Holy", that our sin-nature cannot challenge us any longer.
Satan is always attempting to take us into captivity so that 2 Corinthians
10:5-Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself
against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to
the obedience of Christ; won't be obeyed in our lives.
Satan desires that we walk in the flesh so that we will not obey Galatians
5:16 Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh.

Scripture also cautions and reminds us of how we should treat our fellow
man whether we agree or not.

Let Me "Fix" You!
There is a certain level of maturity that we are to consistently reach for so that Daddy-God's love will continuously be showcased to mankind.
Strive to obey Romans 12:17-21 for it is a sure way of allowing God to "Fix" us; for it suppresses our fleshly nature and enlarges our capability for greater blessings!
Don't settle for less or even the same but strive for the more!
