Greetings!
"Blessed Memories"
Isn't it a blessing that in a constantly changing world, that Daddy-God gives us "Blessed Memories" along the "Path of Life"!
Through these "Blessed Memories", He gives us pleasant reflections; which if embraced, will keep a smile in our hearts! Those "Blessed Memories" of wonderful family times of fun, laughter, good food and get-togethers. Purchasing that new car or home, securing that ideal employment, meeting those special friends and oh yes, falling in love; all establishes the "Blessed Memories" of our lives.
Even when the physical moments are gone; we yet have wonderful memories to reflect upon. Certainly, we should document those times via pictures, video, journal entries, etc.
|
"Blessed Memories"
Because of ungratefulness and immaturity, there could be pouting after the good times pass; some even concluding that it would have been better never to have experienced them. But those memories must be seen as blessings; for some others have never embraced such moments.
There are also some memories in life which because of physical, emotional or sexual abuse are not pleasant to remember. Those memories can even haunt us for many years after being experienced.
There is nothing wrong or crazy with seeking help and deliverance to keep from "going crazy" from those enslaving memories.
Help comes through acknowledging the pain of them, praying, studying God's Word and going to professional counselors.

|
"Blessed Memories"
There are also unpleasant memories created from our making unwise choices which resulted in bad actions.
Well, we should learn from those "Memories" that we definitely need to seek and obey direction from Daddy-God for our decisions.
But even now, we can't allow our past failures and unwise judgments which we cannot change to keep us enslaved.

What we allow ourselves to think and focus on also impacts whether we are happy or sad.

"Blessed Memories"

Philippians 4:8-Finally,brethren,whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things [are] honest, whatsoever things [are] just, whatsoever things [are] pure, whatsoever things [are] lovely, whatsoever things [are] of good report; if [there be] any virtue, and if [there be] any praise, think on these things.
NLT...Fix your thoughts on what is true and honorable and right. Think about things that are pure and lovely and admirable. Think about things that are excellent and worthy of praise. Meditate on these things !
So much of the walk of the Christian comes down to the mind. Romans 12:2 speaks of the essential place of being transformed by the renewing of your mind and 2 Corinthians 10:5 speaks of the importance of casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ.
What we choose to meditate on does matter!

"Blessed Memories"
So, we must allow the heart of our minds to embrace those "Blessed Memories" which will motivate us to think of the goodness of our Great God.

This will keep a thankful heart for and to our God. Our "Blessed Memories" will inspire us to keep a constant praise to God in our hearts and on our lips for the blessings of experiencing that happiness.
Because "Memories" are being established each day of our lives through our actions and experiences and because those memories will remain with us and "others"; we should be motivated to be wise in our actions.
During those times of "Pity Parties", (which we should NOT allow ourselves to have because they are not emotionally, physically or spiritually healthy), we should begin recalling those "Blessed Memories" which Daddy-God has given us.

This will enable us to reflect and meditate in a healthy manner. So, the question is; "What's on your mind"?

Never Argue with a Woman
One morning, the husband returns the boat to their lakeside cottage after several hours of fishing and decides to take a nap.
Although not familiar with the lake, the wife decides to take the boat out.
She motors out a short distance, anchors, puts her feet up and begins to read her book. The peace and solitude are magnificent.
Along comes a Fish and Game Warden in his boat. He pulls up alongside the woman
and says, 'Good morning, Ma'am. What are you doing?'
'Reading a book,' she replies, (thinking, 'Isn't that obvious?')
'You're in a Restricted Fishing Area,' he informs her.
'I'm sorry, officer, but I'm not fishing. I'm reading.'
'Yes, but I see you have all the equipment. For all I know you could start at any moment. I'll have to take you in and write you up.'
'If you do that, I'll have to charge you with sexual assault,' says the woman.
'But I haven't even touched you,' says the Game Warden.
'That's true, but you have all the equipment.. For all I know you could start at any moment.'
'Have a nice day ma'am,' and he left.
MORAL: Never argue with a woman who reads.
It's likely she can also think.

Words of Testimony
Hello, Thank you for all the wonderful messages. I hold in faith all is well with you and your loved ones. I thank you for all your prayers. S H. |
Thanks Dr. Lewis for the Plans for 2010...I really needed that today, when the spirit of fear attempts to overtake me. Continue to encourage others...whether you know it or not...we are reading these & being encouraged. Please add me name to the prayer list for employment. God bless you & your staff! Happy New Year! J. C.
How are you? How's your family? I have another prayer request - my brother was hospitalized for chest pains. The doctors have run tests - but so far they haven't found anything. His name is Kenneth. He's 42, married to Delisha, and has 3 kids. He and I would both appreciate the prayers. Thanks for all you do to edify the body. L. F.

DR. LEWIS, THANK YOU FOR YOUR GREAT AND CHRISTIAN SITE . BLESS YOU AND MAY GOD KEEP YOU IN HIS ARMS. R. K.
Hey Dr. Lewis, Hope your New Year is going great! This is a real good word for me. I hurt my knee walking through the grass, now I am feeling like I am going back into the flare up again, but the devil is a liar! The Elder and I jumped right on that with prayer and as this word says think on Romans 8:28 and know that God is in control of our lives everyday no matter what is going on! There is a reason why we have to go through the things that we go through in this life, God is making us into what He wants us to be and we have to remember that and know that He loves us no matter what is going on!!!!!!!!! He is right there with us all the way through it all. At first I was thinking well 2010 is starting out kind of rough for me, but this Word says it all. Thanks again for sharing and blessing me. I feel so much better about the whole thing now! Much love and lot's of hugs! L. V.
