Hey Dr. Lewis, as always thanks so very much for the words of wisdom, I think I was in shock for a while so much death was coming over the news, you know Farrah Fawcett and Michael Jackson were not the only ones there were others, and I have missed being around my family a lot lately. They got grown and moved to other states and so we don't get to see each other very much anymore and I for one miss that a lot, now that I am sick I wish so bad that they were around so I could see them more but I know they have their own lives but as you said we have to come to Reality time is short and we don't know when the end is, so we need to spend more time with each other as much as possible and love more keep in touch more, and let past hurts and anger go. Oh! this is really a wake up call "A Dose Of Reality" I told you, you make me think! haha love you so much and thanks for this on time word! much love and peace! V.L.
Hello Dr. Lewis, The message you sent last week regarding "where is your focus", I didn't read it until today. I received 3 text message from a friend of mind this morning, yesterday and the day before that, regarding stay focused. The Scriptures where from Hebrews 13:15, 12:3 and Philippians 1:29. I see that God is trying to speak to me because I have had a lot on my mind these days. Thank you, F.S.

"The Midst of the Mess"
Will you agree that sometimes we find ourselves in messy (chaotic, confused or troublesome states or situations) which if given a choice we would not be in? Will you agree that from time to time, life goes in the opposite direction than where we are attempting to steer it?
 Even more, it seems that life must be going counter to the direction which God has planned for us; for surely, He did not intend for us to experience this messy physical, mental or emotional state. In our daily striving to be in the center of Daddy-God's will, it seems that instead of the results turning to gold, that they crumble in our hands and turn to dust!

The messy places we are in from time to time, makes us second, third and seemingly a thousand times reevaluate what we thought we heard as being Daddy-God's will for our lives! Oh yeah, what about those times when we can't explain to others and more so to ourselves of what is really going on in our lives? Well, Thank You Jesus, Bless You Lord, Praise God and Halleluiah, that as Believers and Receivers of the death and Resurrection of Jesus Christ, we can rest with the fact that our Lord is with us in the "Midst of the Mess".
Since (Heb.13:5)-He promised He will never leave us nor forsake us; that means He does not bail out during the difficult times of our lives. Yes, He is still there when our hearts are breaking, when our pillows are wet with tears and when we can't trace His presence. Yes, Daddy-God is still there when we face temporary challenges in our finances, health, relationships, careers and all other areas!!

So be of good cheer and know that Daddy-God is with us in the storm! Our peace and comfort in the "Midst of the Mess" will come only when we remember Jesus told us we are going to the other side! (Matt. 14:22) Therefore in the midst of the rocking and rolling, the difficult times, the not-understanding times, remember that Daddy-God is with us!
Whether on this side of Glory or the other side; sooner or later we shall get to the other side. The other side represents the deliverance from the current "Mess" which we find ourselves in.
There is joy, peace and the "Promised Land" experience if we just keep on faithfully following the Sweet Lord even when our path is through Red Sea messes. "Through" meaning we will not be destroyed in the "Midst of the Mess", but will be enriched with further evidence of why we should KEEP ON TRUSTING AND FOLLOWING THE LORD GOD!
