Summer: The Element of Fire

Summer in Tucson has arrived with rising temperatures and pressure building towards our magnificent monsoon season when the earth is graced with Yin moisture.

Summer in Chinese Medicine is the season that relates to the fire element that includes matters of the Heart--joyfulness, compassion, communication, the spirit, emotions. Imbalances of the heart can manifest in too much fire--insomnia, mania, anxiety; or too little fire-depression, lack of joy, cardiovascular issues.

Take Heart with Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) and reach out to community with loving kindness.

AIMS LAUNCHES TUINA CERTIFICATE PROGRAM

Tuina
Give your massage practice the flavor of Asian bodywork!

We are pleased to provide continuing education for bodyworkers to now include Chinese Tuina Massage.

Tuina massage is a recognized form of therapy for a wide range of health problems. It uses wave-like motions and rhythms to loosen joints, nourish the muscles and encourage the flow of Qi. Tui (push) and na (grasp) are characterized by skillful strokes of the gliding or rolling hand and arm movements. Gentle shaking, joint rotations and stretching complement this vigorous style. Also known as meridian massage, it opens stagnant musculature and encourages the flow of Qi to any deficient areas. It improves mobility, fluidity and works from a place of bringing balance and optimal functioning to the body, mind and spirit.

This 6-month program will be offered on Friday nights and Saturdays and is approved for CEU credits by NCBTMB. The program is scheduled for late August and will be
limited to ten people.
