Beginning Daoist Qigong Class Series
Qigong
Qigong is a five thousand year old practice developed in China to help preserve longevity, strengthen the body from imbalances and disease, and calm the mind.

In this Qigong Workshop we will explore:

* Daoist Five Qigong
* Cleansing Qigong
* Microcosmic Orbit Qigong
* Daoist Meditation
* Ren Wu Zang, Protection Qigong

This series will be held at the Asian Institute
on five Friday evenings: 5/29, 6/5, 6/12, 6/19 and 6/26
6-8 pm, $75.

Instructor: Tai Blue has studied qigong for the past 7 years with masters abroad as well as at the Institute of Medical Qigong, Palm Desert, CA.

Foundations of Traditional Chinese Medicine
Yellow Emperor
This weekend workshop is designed for all those drawn to the Asian culture who desire a deeper understanding of the theoretical roots from which Asian medicines are derived. Within this course the following subjects will be covered:


* Brief history of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM)
* Yin/Yang theory in physiology and disease
* Vital Substances: Jing, Qi, Shen, Blood, Body Fluids
* Qi transformation
* Eight Principles
* Cause of Disease: External, Internal and the 7 other
   causes

This 15-hour course is the first half of the initial presentation of the series and is a prerequisite for subsequent TCM courses that follow within the Shiatsu Certification Program.

This course qualifies for CEU hours through NCBTMB for license renewal.

The workshop will be held at the Asian Institute on
Sat. and Sun., June 6 & 7,  8 am-5 pm

Instructor: Alex Holland, M.Ac., L.Ac., and President of the Asian Institute. Alex brings some 25 years of experience and teaching and is the TCM faculty of Andrew Weil's Arizona Center for Integrative Medicine. Alex is also the author Voices of Qi: An Introductory Guide to Traditional Chinese Medicine.
