You can help!
Several congressional champions are circulating letters seeking robust funding in FY12 for this program. Please call or e-mail your Congress members today and urge them to sign on to the State Wildlife Grants "Dear Colleague" letter (house letter, senate letter). A simple message asking them to sign on to the letter is all that is needed.
Missouri has a strong history of bipartisan support for the State Wildlife Grants Program. We give a huge thanks to those that have already signed the "Dear Colleague" letter in support of funding for State Wildlife Grants in Fiscal Year 2012: Congressman Carnahan, Congressman Cleaver, and Congressman Clay. In addition, Congresswoman Emerson has agreed to send a Programmatic Request in support of State Wildlife Grants. We are disappointed that Congressman Graves has decided not to sign the letter.
The deadline for members of Congress to sign on to the important "Dear Colleague" letter in support of State Wildlife Grant funding is Monday, May 16.
Please contact your Congress member today (ask to speak with staff listed below) and urge them to sign on to the State Wildlife Grants "Dear Colleague" letter.
