This BC Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure certified course is structured for highway designers who want to utilize CAiCE's Visual Roads for highway engineering projects. The course provides a comprehensive overview of CAiCE's approach to highway design and teaches students to develop detailed design models in a 3D interactive environment. Students will review the use of digital terrain modeling (DTM), geometric layout, profile definition, surface modeling for grading plans, cross section design, superelevation definition, COGO input, report generation and plans production. In addition, attendees will be exposed to basic construction functions. Upon completion, students will be well-prepared to tackle most BC Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure highway engineering design projects from the survey data import stage through plans production. |
