USCIS DIRECTOR MAYORKAS SPEAKS AT NOVEMBER ROUNDTABLE
Alejandro Mayorkas, Director of United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS), spoke to Council members at our November Executive Roundtable. He discussed USCIS modernization efforts and the Entrepreneurs in Residence Program. The Director also engaged with members on how the private sector could advise and offer best practices solutions to USCIS. EXECUTIVE TOUR
Next week more than 25 senior leaders from Council member companies will participate in an Executive Tour of the Southwest Border in both Arizona and California. This fact-finding program will consist of Port of Entry tours and special briefings and roundtable discussions with federal, state and local officials. Given the extremely positive response from our members for these special thought leadership programs, we will plan future visits in 2012 to key locales both inside and outside of the DC area, including to such places as the NYC security hubs and El Paso. We welcome our members' input in identifying other interesting and critical locations that would be beneficial to encouraging greater industry-government engagements.
