Fantasy Arrives
with New 7-Night Experience
Disney Fantasy, Disney Cruise Line's much-anticipated new ship, has arrived to join her popular sister-ship Disney Dream and the rest of Port Canaveral's home-team line-up - Carnival's Dream, Ecstasy and Sensation; and Royal Caribbean's Freedom of the Seas and Monarch of the Seas. Disney Fantasy began regularly scheduled 7-night sailings on March 31 with eastern Caribbean itineraries to St. Maarten, St. Thomas/St. John and Disney's own Castaway Cay and western Caribbean itineraries to Key West, Grand Cayman, Cozumel, Costa Maya and Castaway Cay.

Like her sister-ship, Fantasy comfortably accommodates 4,000 passengers -- along with more than 1,450 crew who tend to their needs. Fantasy shares the Dream's best amenities, like the AquaDuck water coaster and Disney Clubs, plus adds her own special touch to cruising with features such as an expanded adult pool area, European-themed nightlife district, new stage shows and a Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique for little-princess makeovers.

to Open This Summer
Our Cruise Terminal 6 (CT6) is taking shape quickly now and is on track to open this July. The sleek, energy-efficient $26.6 million building is dedicated entirely to cruise passengers' comfort and convenience, with highly visible ship-linked signage, safety-conscious passenger and baggage flow and high-volume processing capacity for efficient embarkation. Waterside improvements and a $3 million state-of-the-art adjustable gangway accommodate a broad range of ship configurations and sizes, including the newest 4000+ passenger vessels emerging from shipyards today. Carnival Cruise Lines is the first cruise line to reserve berth days at the new terminal.

A $7.5 million parking garage, to be connected by covered walkway to CT6, is under construction. Along with an adjacent gated, well-lighted parking lot, it will serve Cruise Terminals 5 and 6, ensuring that your clients who use these facilities enjoy the same convenient, secure , close-to-the-ship parking available at all of Port Canaveral's beautiful cruise terminals. Port Canaveral Police Department offers the only 24-hour patrols in the area.

Airboat 241pxPre-/Post-Cruise Tips
You probably know how important it is to advise your clients to arrive in the Port Canaveral area at least one day before their cruise. Whether they travel by plane or car, this will help ensure that unforeseen emergencies, like flight delays or cancellations or roadway hazards, don't ruin their much-anticipated cruise vacation.

For their pre-cruise stay, it makes sense to book your clients into a beach hotel close to their ship. The most stress your clients should have on the day of their cruise is "what time do I leave this beautiful beach to enjoy the first buffet onboard? "

With a day or two before...or after...cruising, they can enjoy other fun and educational activities from the many choices the Space Coast has to offer. Suggest a visit to the Kennedy Space Center Visitors' Complex, an airboat ride on the St. John's river, surfing lessons at Cocoa Beach or a gentle nature boat ride on the Banana River Lagoon, just to mention a few. To make yourself a pre- and post-cruise expert on our area, visit the Space Coast Office of Tourism website.
