FUNDRAISING STIPULATION:
SDG was developed so that grantmakers (staff and trustees) could talk candidly with their peers about the challenges they face. With that in mind, we wish to impress upon members and potential members that fundraising or marketing is not allowed at any of SDG's programs, meetings, or other events.

Hurricanes Refocus Attention on Disaster Grantmaking

Hurricanes Gustav, Hanna, and other named storms are impacting the United States this season. While Gustav didn't have the devastating effects that Katrina did on New Orleans in 2005, there is still destruction. SDG members are evaluating the needs and making donations to aid those affected--let us know if you are making grants in this area.
  • Click here for SDG's Disaster Grantmaking site for resources and information.
  • Click here for a Chronicle article, "Relief Groups Say Donations Still Needed in Response to Hurricane Gustav."
  • Click here for Volunteer San Diego's site on Gustav-related efforts, including needs at 211 San Diego.
