It's February -- we're coming out of holidays hibernation, making it through snowstorms, and seeing a few days of sunshine!
We're inside more than outside these days, and noticing more about our homes, our surroundings, our "stuff."
Our first article is about how to keep clutter from returning. You may have tried to reorganize a space and a few months later, it feels or looks like it did before. Why is that and what can you do about it?
Our second article is about you, if you find yourself divorced or widowed. This is an article to read when you're just beginning to think about making your home your own, creating your next chapter of life and moving on. This is a specialty for me, as I've been through a time of several major life events/changes happening all at once.
I hope you'll join me for advice/tips on my blog, or Facebook business page, Twitter or LinkedIn. I aim to be where you are, so it's easy to get advice. Check out the links to the left.

Why Does My Clutter Keep Coming Back? |
|
I'm not a fan of the word "clutter." Or even "declutter."
When someone uses the word about my stuff, I feel judgment. My stuff is in the way and not worth much - those things I bought or loved or shared with family at one time.
When I call my things "clutter," it doesn't feel much better at all. Here, it's a black cloud spewing a rainstorm of "should's."
Worse yet, what happens when my "clutter" keeps coming back? Why is that and what can I do about it? Let the sunshine in, and for goodness sake, let's get it to stay awhile.

"Blossoms"
You've been divorced or perhaps widowed for awhile now - whatever awhile is to you. You're living in the same home you've lived in for all those years but it's starting to feel different. Something subtle or stark is out of kilter for you.
The difference is that your mindset is changing. You're ready for creating the next chapter in life. You've realized it is time to move on. It's now your time to create a next chapter. You're spreading your wings bit by bit, blossoming a little at a time. How can you organize your home to reflect the new or changed "you"? Or your new chapter?
6 Key questions to ask yourself before you change anything ...

Organizers across the world have donated organizing resources to a "Great Organizing Giveaway" website.
Although just about everyone seems to understand the benefits of being organized, it's not always easy to figure out just where to start. To highlight ways in which people can become more organized in their office, with their time and in their home, this site was created to provide people with first steps - at no charge.
Click here to peruse free resources such as e-books, tip sheets, audio programs and more. Enter into drawings for amazing prizes. Information is categorized into three main categories: your office, your time and your home. And yes, you'll find me there, in the "Home" section. Current giveaway from Space4U is two tip sheets: "Eliminating Paper Piles" and "I Get So Many Emails!"
Because you're already a newsletter subscriber, if you'd like either of both of these free tip sheets, just e-mail me directly. I don't want to clutter your email box if you don't need them!
