Unlocking the Fountain of Youth November 2008
Greetings!

How would you like to replenish, refresh, and revitalize your skin's youthful appearance naturally?

The effects of sun exposure, hormonal changes and aging can all have an impact on your skin's appearance.  As a result, the natural volume of your youthful skin begins to diminish, and wrinkles and folds begin to form.  One way you can restore your skin's natural volume and achieve youthful-looking skin is with injectable dermal fillers.

What are Injectable Dermal Fillers?
Injectable dermal fillers are a modified form of hyaluronic acid, a naturally occurring substance found in human skin and throughout the body.  Due to the aging process, the levels of hyaluronic acid gradually decrease as we grow older and so the need for injectable dermal fillers arises.

Injectable dermal fillers, such as Juvederm, are a safe and nonsurgical option for softening fine lines and wrinkles, and restoring lost volume in the faces of both men and women.
Success of the Month

"Recently, I had noticed that the folds beside my nose and mouth were deepening and making the corners of my mouth droop down.  It gave me a sad, aged appearance that didn't reflect how I felt!  Having some Juvederm placed in these areas and near my cheekbones gave me a huge boost.  I feel as if my whole face has been lifted without having surgery! There was no downtime, minimal discomfort and I love the results.  I am also happy to know that the results can last up to a whole year."

How is a Juvederm Treatment performed?

Juvederm treatments are performed only through healthcare providers. The procedure takes approximately 15-30 minutes and begins with an application of a topical anesthetic.  Juvederm is then injected directly under the skin. The smooth gel flows easily into the skin, providing a soft, natural look and feel. Results are seen immediately and the downtime is minimal.

What are the possible side effects?
Juvederm is generally well tolerated. Possible side effects are mild to moderate in nature and generally last less than 7 days. They may include temporary skin reactions such as redness, tenderness and bruising.

How long does Juvederm last?
The unique formulation of Juvederm provides results that last from 9 months to 1 year, longer than other hylauronic acid fillers.
