EPA Members Now Have the Ability
to Expand
Their Services & Increase Sales

Look around any event and you're almost certain to spot imprinted items - everything from favors to banners and beverage napkins. Imprinted items, also known as advertising specialties, include anything imprinted with a logo or advertising message and are given as favors, prizes, commemorative products or other incentives.

The EPA has teamed up with the Advertising Specialty Institute (ASI) to provide members the opportunity to make money from this $16 billion industry.

With a full support team in place, ASI will help you get started with a free trial. It's easy, it's profitable, and it gives you an edge over your competition.

ASI offers a significantly discounted package for EPA members so be sure to mention your EPA membership.

Greetings!

I don't know about you, but with the kids back in school I always feel like September is the beginning of the new year!  Funny how that happens once you have school-aged kids.

Anyway, September is when I take another look at where we are business-wise and where we want to be.  There is one quarter left in the true calendar year and I look to see if there is anything I can do to end it with a "bang" and set up the next 12 months.  Evaluating the goals we set last year along with the results will help us set the goals and pace for next year.

That said, industry trade shows and conferences are a fantastic way to enhance your skills, product offering and professional knowledge.  Just being around those in the industry will reinvigorate your passion and reignite your enthusiasm.  With trade show season upon us there is something for every EPA member.  Below you will find information on some of the major industry conferences as well as a few smaller, more niche oriented shows available to help you build your business.  Many of the conferences even offer discounts to EPA members.
Surely at least one will meet your needs. Please email me the name of your favorite conference if you don't see it below.

Also included in this newsletter is information on one of our industry partners, The Association for Wedding Professionals International (AFWPI).  AFWPI offers many benefits to those in the wedding industry.  If you happen to be interested in destination weddings you will find plenty to be excited about below.

Be sure to check out the article on promotional products.  With over 50%
(2010 survey) of members saying they are interested in being able to make money by offering their clients promotional products, we had to do something!  Our partnership with the Advertising Specialty Institute will give you this opportunity.

As you will notice, I have combined our Event/Wedding Planning and Amusement newsletters this month.  Many of our members cross over into the other event areas, so while not everything may apply to your business, there will most likely be something to peak your interest.

Have a fantastic weekend and I look forward to meeting you at one or more of the upcoming conferences.

Warmest Regards,

Kim
