WHUSapalooza Scheduled!
It's official! We'll be hosting a big bash to commemorate (commiserate?) all of the great work that WHUS does as well as the great people who help do it, including a recognition of 30 years of service for our tireless GM John Murphy in October or November. Email WHUSbash@whus.org if you'd like to attend or know someone who would!

What the Flux?
Last September, by way of a "soft-opening", we began an experiment in radio by dedicating Saturday mornings to compelling, unique, live content. Thus was born "Fiat Flux".
Roughly translated, "Fiat Flux" means "let there be change"; referring to the assumption that radio's rightful role is solely to air pre-recorded music.
What we're proposing is that if you or your band or your acting troupe or your squadron of tag-team poets would like to reach an audience, we'd love to have you.
Certainly, live bands are great. We're also interested, however, in any other content that can be heard; something that maybe doesn't fit in with one of our established shows or genres.
To date, we've showcased local bands of various genres (e.g., singer-songwriter, rock, blues, jazz, experimental), as well as some homegrown radio theater/variety programming. We've even devoted a couple of mornings to radio pioneer Norman Corwin.
And we've only scratched the surface.
If you're interested in being heard on WHUS, drop us an email at: fiatflux@whus.org.
Let's see how many layers of the onion we can peel back before we start crying.
