Campaign Tip Starting your Campaign Your United Way campaign may not begin for a few months, but it's never too early to start planning. Here are some ways to get a head start on a successful campaign.
· Take a pre-campaign tour. United Way Partner Agencies are available to host tours year round. Spring and summer are great seasons to get out of the office and learn how your United Way contributions are being used. Contact Jodana Borden to schedule your tour. · Recruit your United Way campaign committee. Now is a good time to start recruiting co-workers who are dedicated to United Way. Having committed committee members will make your job as a Coordinator easier and will result in a more successful and fun campaign. · Begin brainstorming campaign ideas. Start thinking about what type of activities you'd like to have during your workplace campaign, including Partner Agency speakers. United Way has a lot of great tools to help in your planning process, but now is a great time to think "outside of the box" and tailor your campaign to your workplace. |

Engage New Employees
Is your workplace hiring new employees? Don't forget to ask your new co-workers if they would like to contribute to United Way.
It's simple. All you need to do is include new hire packets, provided by United Way, with employee orientation materials. This is a great way to show new employees that they've joined a company that cares about their community.
Bonus...if a new employee contributed at a former workplace, he can continue his gift without disrupting his pledge. In addition, the new employee's donation can be rolled into your company's current contribution.
