Letter Carriers' Food Drive
You and your letter carrier can help fight hunger, Saturday, May 9 during the annual Letter Carriers' Food Drive. It's simple, put your bag of non-perishable food items by your mailbox and your letter carrier will do the rest.
The Regional Food Bank of Oklahoma will be on hand at local Post Offices to collect food from the letter carriers. The food will then be sorted and distributed to more than 500,000 Oklahomans facing hunger issues.
Last year, members of NALC Branch 458 collected a record 644,393 pounds of food and raised more than $529,000. Their goal this year is to collect 675,000 pounds of food and raise $575,000.
