Pain and distress are a natural part of life and cannot be entirely avoided or removed. Suffering, however, is optional. How can that be?  

 

There is a situation, which results in an interpretation (your thoughts), causing feelings, and finally a reaction. All of this happens in a split second.

 

At the point, of the interpretation it is important to slow down and be mindful of our thoughts. This is where we can short-circuit our response, if needed.  

 

I wish for you this day ~ contentment ~ while embracing this very moment ... take a breath and enjoy the boundless blessings you are receiving.

I am learning to relax and self-soothe with the five senses: vision, hearing/listening, smell, taste, touch/feel.

I am learning to IMPROVE the moment through: Imagery · Meaning/Purpose · Prayer/Meditation · Relaxation · One Thing in the Moment · Vacation · Encouragement/Affirming

 

I am learning my character cannot be developed in ease and quiet ... only through action (experiences of trial and triumph) can my soul be strengthened, my vision cleared, my ambition inspired, and my success achieved.

 

I am learning to acknowledge "as is" ~ as this is the first step to acceptance, self-awareness, mastery and wholeness.

 

I am learning to let go and knowing that I am safe.

 

I am learning to breathe ~ life is forever changing and I am ok with that as I embrace my growth along my journey.

 

I am learning that my character is my destination ... I will be ME ... the best I know how to be.
