Mission Statement
-------------------
To inspire and empower you
to create an authentic meaningful life ~ with knowledge and wisdom ~
while promoting mental, physical and spiritual health.

In the attitude of silence the soul finds the path in a clearer light,
and what is elusive and deceptive resolves itself into crystal clearness.
Our life is a long and arduous quest after Truth.

~ Mahatma Gandhi
Indian political and spiritual leader
(1869-1948)

Mindfulness for Everyday Living

reflectionCompleteness is defined as having all the necessary or appropriate parts. The purpose is to have a sense of "wholeness" ... a state of health and soundness.

Wholeness is the ability for us to utilize all of our strengths, skills and abilities ... in order to live our best life and be our best self. Wholeness captures the concept of the undiminished entirely of our nature, our best self ... "complete."

Stop for a moment and look around you ... can you visually see an "incomplete" that is taking up space in your mind. If you are like me, there may be several ... I see a project I started and it sits there waiting for me to reconnect or a household chore that is patiently awaiting my attention. Whether it be a project, a chore, a phone call that needs to be made, or thoughts of wishing you had more time in a day to do something special for those you care about ... All of these are incompletes and makes it difficult for us to stay in the present moment or to move forward.

Marci Wise suggests a moment of clarity to completeness can happen in six easy steps:

Mind:    learn something new and say good bye to worry.

Body:    fine-tune foods and follow your bodies energies.

Spirit:   seek the silence and garner gratitude.

We are so busying worrying about what is yet to be done, we don't have the time to appreciate this moment.

Worry never robs tomorrow of its sorrow, it only saps today of its joy.

~ Leo Buscaglia.
Author, Motivational Speaker, Professor in the Dept of Special Education
at the University of Southern California (1924-1998)

Completeness
Essential for Authentic Wholeness

Can you identify what physically is incomplete in your life? What is holding you back from moving forward on these projects? How would you feel if you were able to accomplish one incomplete task and move it to completion?

                             ParkBench

Physical incompleteness is one thing. What about the connection of your mind, body and soul? Creating laughter and peace. Balancing movement and rest. Consider the following steps to completeness (wholeness):

1. Accept responsibility for your life.

2. Focus on eight elements to satisfy your needs and wants: time, space, love, money, vitality, purposeful action, strong sense of self and positive self-regard.

3. Complete the past - release the people, places and things that do not affirm who you are.

4. Plan for the future -- develop goals, game plans, and ideal qualities of everything you want ... visualize your life as you want it to be.

5. Live in the present ... this is where it all happens; in each moment, you are presented with choices.

Words are easy and thoughts are exciting as you begin to consider what your choices are. The challenge is setting a goal and then taking the action to follow through.

Moving Out Of Your Comfort Zone
Action Occurs in the Present

Acknowledge a need that has gone unmet.
Why is this important to you?

Who are you when this need is met?
What is one thing you can do to work
towards this unmet need?

Opening yourself to change is a risk.
Our actions occur when we can clearly
visualize our success ... think about it :))

Be brave ... this is a substantial change!

In order to grow ... we need to move out of
our comfort zone and take a risk.

Close your eyes and you will see

... Anything is possible ...
To Move Forward ...

August 6th ~ Wiggle Your Toes Day

Wiggling your toes can be good for your mind, body and soul!

"Stretching his hand up to reach the stars,
too often man forgets the flowers at his feet."

~ Jeremy Bentham

English jurist, Philosopher, Legal and Social Reformer
(1748-1832)

Enjoy your journey and remember to stop along the way to embrace the day's gifts
of love, happiness, harmony, surprise, laughter, energy, strength, and peace.
