NAMB presents evangelism award to Texas Baptists

DALLAS - The Southern Baptist Convention North American Mission Board recently presented the Excellence in Evangelism Award to the Baptist General Convention of Texas in recognition for an increase in people baptized.
The award honors an increase of baptisms between 2009 and 2010 of at least 390, according to voluntarily-reported statistics. The latter year was the final period of Texas Hope 2010, an evangelistic effort spearheaded by Texas Baptists to share the hope of Christ with people throughout the state.
The BGCT is one of only four Baptist conventions across the country to receive the Excellence in Evangelism Award.

The First Texas Cowboy Church Evangelism Rally will be sponsored by Western Heritage Ministry of Texas Baptists on Saturday, March 24. This Rally will be at the Resistol Arena at the Mesquite Rodeo fro, 9:00 p.m. till 3:30 p.m. Pastors from Cowboy Churches will be bringing testimonies on Evangelism and Evangelist Ronnie Hill will bring the closing message. Music will be provided by bands from Cowboy Churches and a special concert by Don Edwards.
