Database Managers
We Need a Database Manager!
Writing Groups, KWG Data

Database Manager Needed
We need a volunteer to serve as KWG database manager. It's pretty easy and can be done from home in four to six hours a month, though it also requires regular attendance at our monthly programs. It's a great way for a writer to meet new people and network. If you'd f you'd like more details, please contact Cathy Kodra at ckodra54@yahoo.com.

Writing Groups Form
Does staring at a blank page -- or screen -- intimidate you? Working with prompts is an effective way to get your pen moving and begin new projects. It's even better to do this at a scheduled time and place, with a small community. If you're interested in such a group, e-mail Lucy Sieger at lucysieger@hotmail.com.

Adria Amos is forming a screenwriting group. Meeting place, date, time, etc... are undetermined. Anyone interested should contact Adria at amos29@yahoo.com.

Learn to Market Your Project
The Chattanooga Writers Guild will host a talk by acclaimed creative marketing expert Jim Moore  on Tuesday, Jan. 10, at 7 p.m. in the Chattanooga Public Library, 1001 Broad St., Chattanooga. The  program is free and open to the public.

Moore, who is brand manager for the family entertainment brand, The Animal Band Enterprises, will  provide some "outside the box" ideas on how to market your creative work. He will relay first-hand experiences of how the publishing industry really works: how to get contracts with a big box retailer or why you might turn down a large order.

If you have a published project and want to get some ideas how to shake the bushes in a different way, this meeting is for you. Or if you have a finished project and are starting to look for an agent, Jim Moore will give you a head full of ideas how to jump start your marketing plan.
