Greetings from Tanglewood!  Last week, we opened our doors to the Class of 2012.  These young artists come to us from 38 states and 14 countries with one common purpose: to be immersed in music making surrounded by like-minded peers and the world's most celebrated musicians.

This exciting season will include performances of the Berlioz Symphonie Fantastique, Beethoven's Mass in C, and Mahler 6 against the backdrop of the 75th Anniversary season of Tanglewood.

We invite you to join us this summer to experience the transformative power of Tanglewood through the performances of our gifted young artists.

We look forward to hearing from you!

BUTI Receives a Scholarship Grant from the
Jack Kent Cooke Foundation
Jack Kent Cooke Foundation

BUTI is pleased to announce that the Jack Kent Cooke Foundation (JKCF) has awarded the Institute with a grant of $150,000 for the 2012 season in support of full- and partial- scholarships for gifted students from underrepresented ethnicities, low-income families, and diverse geographical areas.  This funding has helped BUTI to award more than $500,000 in scholarships this year - the largest amount in BUTI's history - to gifted students with need.

We salute the Jack Kent Cooke Foundation for their dedication to helping students of exceptional promise reach their full potential through education.
