Dear Friends, I've been meditating on what it means to be a human "temple" for the Spirit, and what it means for those of us who want to be a "light" but know that our collective light always burns brighter than our single flames! I'm including a writing (below) that came to me recently from this meditation. We are certainly not meant to wander on this earth alone, nor do we wander alone. When we open our eyes to see how not-alone we are, we begin to find that not-aloneness (or our one with-ness) manifest in relationships around us. It may be that we begin with seeing how we are not separate from a flower. Or how we are not so separate from the partner we've been waking up with for years. Wherever we begin is where we begin. I have had a quiet few months of writing and meditation, but I'm following the seasons and am growing some classes in April. I'm including in my offerings a sound healing intensive for those interested in participating in or learning the application of sound as a healing art. I also want to invite you to an open house at the Center for Relaxation this Saturday. All listed on the calendar, below. Blessings & love & spring flower bouquets your way, Cynthia

Where Shall Your Temple Be?
|
At your feet.
Your body is the temple.
When you recognize that your body is the temple
All forms begin to express themselves around you as the
temple.
Become devoted to the grass
Become devoted to the hair on your lover's head.
Become devoted to a single breath.
The temple is not so far away.
Breathe, the wind of time
Is the sound of your breath
We are not here to please our senses.
Our senses are here to show us the God-head
Residing in our hearts.
Once your heart is saturated with this light,
The world of the sense dies away
And there is only drinking the living water
Bathing in this ethereal water.
Then the sensory world becomes like a dream,
It is not full of pleasure or pain. It is only a reflection
On the surface of the water.
This is why, when you lay down on the grass, you lay down
On the breast of God.
And when you drink from a stream,
You drink the milk from Her breast.
This is why, when you look into the eyes of another
Created one, you can see eternity.
Child, the earth is the Lord's, and what are you
But an echo, a burst of light.
Yet, deep in the heart of even the smallest
of creation, there I am, fully, without reservation.
So breathe my breath,
Drink my wine. Love
everyone and everything
in the same manner.
For this is how I love.
Fully, without reservation, I cherish you.

Each seeker finds the right path;
Each path leading back to the beginning;
Each birth leading to rebirth;
The one who fights finds the way
In moments of surrender. The one who says there
Is no path will find the path regardless.
Each path is a circle; all paths lead to that which we seek.
But the one who stays still will unfold like a flower,
petal by petal, under the noon sun, until all the
layers are gone, and there is only translucent light.
