 Well, the computer drama is just about over! There are a couple more issues to work through, but I had to take just a minute to give you a quick run-down on some To-Dos going on this weekend. What's going on this weekend? Art - and more art!
Start with Gallery Guichard's Art-ini tonight at 6pm and enjoy complimentary Grey Goose Martinis! The art, live music and lively crowd will definitely engage your senses as you move between the three floors of this lovely gallery in historic Bronzeville. If we're lucky, the weather will be dry and we can enjoy some of this deliciously premature warm weather on the patio of the gallery!
 Want more art? Head north for Artropolis, which is also underway this weekend with the main venue located at the Merchandise Mart. This To-Do opened with sneak previews on Thursday and continues through Monday in multiple venues. Part of the celebration includes the Chicago Art District Gallery Night. The South Halsted galleries will open their doors to you tonight with a series of walk-around receptions hosted by the 35 or more galleries. Hit up as many as you can or stick with the one or two that you really connect with.
 The art party also continues on the South Side with Creative Moves at the Hyde Park Art Center. This twenty-four hour To-Do celebrates art and creativity with an impressive list of activities and performances from 8pm Friday through 8pm Saturday and is also part of Artropolis.
More? Okay! This is the opening weekend for Black Is, Black Ain't, as exhibit featuring the works of 26 "Black and Non-Black" artists dealing with the contemporary issue of the relevance of race. On Saturday, sit in on a conversation with Frank Sirmans, curator of the Museum of Contemporary Art, and Hamza Walker, Associate Curator and Director of Eduction at the Renaissance Society and curator of Black Is, Black Ain't.
