Thank You Michener Alumni!
The Alumni Association wishes to thank all Michener alumni who supported the 15th Anniversary by attending and/or volunteering for events in May and June. The purpose of the 15th Anniversary initiative was to celebrate and recognize you, Michener/TIMT graduates, and to give you a chance to reconnect with your alma mater, your friends and colleagues. We have prepared a report to evaluate the outcomes of this initiative and we will share with you some highlights in future communications. You can visit alumni events to view event photo galleries.

Alumni Association AGM Moves to November
To better align with Michener's fiscal year end of August 31, the Alumni Association will move its Annual General Meeting to the autumn. Given that an AGM was held already this year on June 14, 2012, the next AGM will be scheduled for November 2013. To view this year's Annual Report go to

Election of Executive
At this year's AGM, Christine Nielsen was reappointed to the position of Chair and Hollin Ng and Rajesh Sharma will continue to serve as co-Vice-Chairs of the Board of Directors. All officers will serve until the next AGM in November 2013. We look forward to another exciting and productive year. Orientation 2012!
Preparing Future Health Care Professionals
Michener welcomed close to 300 new students this September, of whom 266 participated in the 2012 Orientation Program, August 29-31. Student Coordinator, Rachel Keshwah (Medical Laboratory Science, Class of 2013), organized a program that included interprofessional activities, Michener and UofT tours, visits to some of Toronto's  sights and of course, a Blue Jays Game. Thanks to the 60 first and second year students who volunteered to meet, greet and guide the first year students during the three-day affair and help make them feel comfortable in their new surroundings. Have a great year everyone!
