Only 22 days left until we take over the streets of McCaul and Elm for our first ever Street Party!  Pedestrian Sunday Group will join us on Baldwin; as will the AGO and OCAD. Come out and celebrate.  Bring your family and friends.   And check out what else we have planned for you.
Nominations for Alumni of Distinction 2008 Award - new date

We are accepting nominations for the Alumni of Distinction Award for 2008 until August 31, 2008.  For our 50th year, we would like to honour up to 5 outstanding alumni, ideally one from each decade and from a different program.

On McCaul, Elm and Baldwin Streets   1-5 p.m.
This is a free outdoor event.  Highlights include musical entertainment (Sunshine State, EOS, Garin Markarian, iDrum), dance performance (Capoeira Camara), an interactive children's play area by Elephant Thoughts and of course a birthday cake. 

Pub Night Friday, November 21, 2008
Michener Cafeteria - $10   5-8 p.m.
Alumni, faculty and students are invited to kick-off the homecoming weekend with a tribute to pub nights from the past.  Dance, eat (pub fare of course) drink and mingle with former classmates and teachers in a casual environment that will rekindle friendships and take you back to student days.

Schatz Hall Lounge at Michener - $20   10 a.m. - 1 p.m.
Enjoy a hot buffet breakfast over entertainment and a chance to mingle with fellow alumni and faculty.  Take a journey down memory lane via Michener Decade Displays and see what the future holds at the Transformation Gallery, which houses the plans that will transform Michener into the future.

Cocktails and Silent Auction at 6 p.m.,  Dinner at 7:15 p.m.
An elegant celebratory affair that will highlight the achievements of many at Michener over the years. The evening will include live entertainment by Juno Nominated Elizabeth Shepherd Trio, comedian and MC James Cunningham, a silent auction and many surprises.
