A reminder that this Sunday is Valentine's Day. Mark Foys Restaurant is open as normal on Sunday the 14th.

 

Valentine's Day will be celebrated on the Spectator Ferry this Saturday. There will be a few free goodies on the ferry and free tea and coffee. Reminder if you are a financial member you can get two tickets on the Spectator Ferry for the price of one.

 

We are sorry to hear about the death of Janis Hughes' mother who passed away last Thursday. Janis and Bill Hughes are the backbone of the Social Committee at the Club. Bill is always at the Club on Thursday nights and Saturdays during the sailing season drawing the meat raffle winning tickets.

 

Yesterday the Mid Week Jazz was well attended. The Mike Hallam 5 Band was outstanding.

 

Mike Hallam will be playing on the Seniors Week Jazz Cruise on Wednesday 24 March. See details below. There will only be limited tickets sold for this good value event.

 

Thank you to the sailors who have queried the dates for the Brisbane Historal Eighteen Footers Australian Championships. The correct dates are 23-25 April. The Registration Form and the Notice of Race have been posted on the Club's website.

 

Thank you for those who have volunteered to be crew hands we still need some more volunteers. So again anyone who would like to have a go at sailing you are very welcome to be a crew hand on any Saturday during the sailing season. Do not worry you will have at least three experienced sailors on board.So send your interest by replying to this email.
