AirBorne's V-Lite
AirBorne's new sub-155 pound, 2-stroke, single-seat V-Lite is now in production. This Very Lite trike is almost 50 pounds lighter than the 4-Stroke T-Lite (which weighs 198 lbs.).

Commercial Rating for WSC/PPC
I just read an article in the April issue of Powered Sport Flying Magazine I thought was excellent. The article was by Roy Beisswenger and it proposed a Commercial Pilot certificate option for weight-shift control (WSC) and powered parachute aircraft (PPC).

Father's Day Fly-in, Wellsville, PA
Believe it or not, it is not too early to start setting aside special flying dates for the summer and one of those dates should include joining us at Footlight Ranch in Wellsville, PA this June for the Father's Day Fly-In.
This is the 25th Anniversary of a great family fly-in event. I think the event organizers are planning something special for this year in honor of the fly-in's silver anniversary. Read on ...

LightSquared Update
Last October I wrote about the threat the company LightSquared posed to our GPS devices (click here for the October 2011 article). Well since then the FCC has revoked LightSquared's conditional network approval, the LightSquared CEO Sanjiv Ahuja has resigned, LightSquared is on the verge of bankruptcy, and Philip Falcone and Harbinger Capital is under investigation by the SEC for market manipulation (not sure if this has anything to do with LightSquared).
