Princess / Pirate Summer Dance Camps
At DANCE Sun Country, this summer
is going to be filled with many fun and exciting dance classes and
specialty
dance camps. Our summer will begin
with two exciting dance camps, our popular PRINCESS
BALLERINA CAMP (ages 4-7), and the new PLUNDERIFIC
PIRATE CAMP (ages 4-7). Both
camps will be held June 14-18, 2010.
Camps meet Monday-Friday, 9:00am-12:30pm.
Our
PRINCESS BALLERINA CAMP is going to
be magical! Campers will twirl
into beautiful ballerina princesses with daily dance classes, enchanting ballet
stories and videos, dress-up, arts 'n crafts including princess tiaras and
magic wands, princess tea-parties, ballerina rehearsals, and so much more. Every moment will be filled with dance,
wonderful activities, and fairytale enchantment. This year's week-long camp will focus on the favorite
fairytale ballet, "Cinderella".
The week will culminate with a beautiful Gala Performance presented by
the students to showcase their week's learning.
(Attire: Solid colored leotard, pink tights, pink ballet slippers,
hair in ponytail or bun.)
We
are excited about our newest addition this year, the PLUNDERIFIC PIRATE CAMP!
Come join yer fellow pirates for this swashbuckling-inspired dance camp. Get your sea legs ready as we learn to
walk, talk, and dance like pirates.
The week will include learning Pirate dance moves, Pirate games,
stories, music, videos, fun Pirate crafts such as Pirate hats and hooks, treasure
maps, and tattoos, and Aaargh - ye might even have to walk the plank!! Parents will be invited to attend
our spectacular "Pirate Production" on the last day of camp. (Attire: Comfortable, non-restrictive clothing, such as gym shorts
and t-shirts.) Don't
