Mobile Marketing - How To Leverage The Mobile Phone To Market Your Business
Recently on my weekly webinar show, Free Webinar Wednesdays, we have had some discussions on mobile marketing and how businesses can leverage SMS (simple message service, a.k.a. "text" messages) to connect with customers and communicate their message cost effectively.
If you take a look at the statistics surrounding the mobile market, it only makes sense this is quickly becoming one of the most effective ways to communicate, similar to permission-based e-mail, only with higher readership rates and more immediate response times. Today's mobile devices are used for virtually everything, from e-mail to Facebook, web browsing and text messages. They are our portable photo galleries and entertainment devices that are rarely out of reach. If you're interested in learning just how mobile marketing may be a good fit for your business, be sure to check out our introductory mobile marketing webinar and the follow-up we did on QR (Quick Response) Codes. Both will shed some light on the concept of mobile marketing and may inspire you with an idea or two on how you can get better connected with your target audience. You may also want to check out a recent blog post that I wrote that also goes over one of the ways that you can leverage mobile marketing for ongoing customer engagements. When you're ready to get started with your mobile marketing program, give me a ring (or send me a text - 269-841-5007). We've got some great mobile marketing packages that may be just the ticket to get you started! Not Registered for Free Webinar Wednesdays? If you've never sat in on a FWW session, you'll want to be sure to Register before Wednesday. Hope you can make it.

Reputation Management - This Isn't High School Any Longer
Remember in high school when all you cared about was what other people thought about you? You wanted to make sure you wore the right clothes, had the right shoes, hung out with the right crowd. Back then it seemed like what other people thought about you was the most important thing in the world.
Fast forward to present day. You're a business owner (or at least someone that's responsible to a certain degree in your business' success). Are the opinions of others as important today as they were back in high school? I'm going to say YES, and probably even more so thanks to the Internet. Be sure to check out my blog and read why your reputation matters (and what YOU can do about it)...

Local Search - Can People Find You After Google's Big Change?
At the end of 2010 Google, the world's #1 search engine, made some monumental changes to their search algorithm - the "rules" behind who they decide gets one of the "top 10" spots and on the first page of a search result. One of the factors that is now evident is the power of "local" presence through the Google Places initiative. Businesses with a physical office and local presence, which is probably most of you reading this newsletter, now have an opportunity to "claim their Places page" and provide Google all sorts of other great information about their business when consumers go online searching for the products and services they have to offer. We've developed some great Google Places packages to help businesses stake their claim in the local search world. If you'd like to learn more about some of the recent changes in local search, be sure to watch my webinar archive on Local Search and then let's connect! |

Will I See YOU at a Seminar or Conference This Year?
As many of you may know, I spend some of my time speaking at events (mostly in the banking and financial service sector) helping to spread the word on how businesses can leverage technology to do more with less.
I've had an opportunity to meet lots of new people during my conference sessions over the years and recently presented for the American Bankers Association at their National Conference for Community Bankers. It was great to not only make several new acquaintances, but catch up with some good friends that I had not seen in a long time. Later this year I'll be working with the banking associations of Michigan, Indiana, Idaho, Mississippi, Maine, Maryland and Washington. I've also got some "non-bank" sessions in the works as well, so stay tuned.... Hopefully I'll get an opportunity to see YOU this year during one of these sessions. |
