Let's Do Lunch Friday - Connecting With Customers Online: Surf, Search & Social Strategies

Surf, Search and SocialThis Friday, November 20th at Noon Eastern time I'd like to invite you to "have lunch" with me and learn all about the 3 S's of digital marketing - Surf, Search and Social. As you plan for 2010 and ways to generate more business, this complimentary webinar will teach you all about how you can use the Internet to get more visitors to your site - which should mean more customers (and more money).

Here's a quick breakdown of the three types of "conversations" that can be had online:

Surf: Just like reading the newspaper or watching TV, your potential customers are "surfing" around the web reading information at a variety of news and entertainment sites. We can get your message in front of these folks with effective image-advertising techniques to get your business noticed.

Search: Still the #1 activity on the Internet, people go online searching for the products and services YOU sell every day. How easy is it to find your business when someone goes online searching for what YOU do?

Social: Referrals can be a powerful thing, so if you're a business that gets its customers via "word of mouth," you need a strategy involving social tactics to help your happy customers spread the word.

Don't delay, register online now and I look forward to seeing you this Friday. If you can't make it for the webinar "live" but are interested in learning more, still register and you'll get a link to the archive recording.

Get An Edge On The New Year With E-Mail Marketing

Here are five great reasons for you to consider using e-mail marketing to get better "connected" to your customers using Constant Contact, WSI's partner for e-mail marketing solutions.
  1. The holidays are just around the corner: Go green by sending out a seasonal e-greeting using one of the many seasonal templates.
  2. It's a perfect time to send out an end-of-the-year email to thank your customers for their loyalty over the year, review the highlights of 2009, and preview what to look forward to in 2010.
  3. Clients can get a jumpstart on their 2010 business by surveying your customers. Learn what worked last year and what would be worth changing for the year to come.
  4. Holiday gatherings and meetings are a cinch to manage and promote with our new Event
Marketing service. Get a demo of it at www.constantcontact.com/event-marketing.
  5. Make 2010 the "Year of the Loyal Customer." Email marketing has been proven to be an economical, efficient, and effective way to build customer relationships.

Check Out Google Reader And Keep Up With Your Information

With all the websites and blogs available on the Internet today, without a way to organize and sort all the information you can quickly become overwhelmed and frustrated. If you're like me, there's just not enough time in the day to get through all the information, which is ironic because it's never been so easily accessible.

In a past issue of the Internet Minute I introduced you to Google Alerts, a great way to have Google monitor the web for keywords and key phrases. Well, in this issue I'm introducing you to another great Google tool, Google Reader. This free service aggregates all of the websites, blogs and RSS feeds that you are following into one, convenient location, making it easy to stay on top of all your information.

Google Reader

To learn all about Google Reader, I encourage you to take the online tour and get up to speed on how it can help save you time and simplify your "online life". When you're done, set up your own Google account and see how easy it can be to take back control of your online efforts.

Thanks for taking the time to read my newsletter. If you have suggestions for future issues or questions, don't hesitate to let me know. See you next month...

Sincerely Yours,

Eric Cook, MBA
