To Rent or Buy...That is the Question

Real estate search and research site, Trulia, just released findings of their 2011 Rent vs. Buy study for American's largest 50 cities by population. They calculated their rent:buy ratio by comparing median list prices against median rent prices, and the results are very interesting.
When looking over these figures, take into consideration the fact that the rental market is being inundated by people who have lost their homes due to foreclosure. Because of the influx of new renters into the market, it now costs more to rent a home rather than buy one in the majority of US cities.

We Do Not Exclude Stupidity That's right. We exclude a lot of things, but not stupidity. I have to shake my head sometimes when I hear what people do.
Smoking in bed is stupid. Falling asleep with the bathtub running is stupid. Accelerating while thinking you're in reverse when you're really in drive is stupid. Going on vacation and turning off the heat is stupid. But it is all covered.
