Martha Coakley Wants You to Do What's Best for Your Customers
I'm sure you have heard all about it.  Massachusetts Attorney General Martha Coakley is proposing new regulations that will have a significant impact on how insurance professionals do business.

One of these regulations states that agents must quote an insured with every single carrier they represent.  Her aim in pushing this measure is to ensure that consumers are able to shop for the best policy possible.

Here at Brownstone, we always stress that agents and brokers should do the right thing for their customer, and while our program might not fit the needs of every client, we certainly excel at what we do.  Condominium associations and apartment complexes are our specialty, and we make it easy for agents and brokers to do business with us.  Try us.  You'll like us!

  • Online quote indications for immediate response
  • A simple application for an easy submission process
  • In-house underwriting decisions for quick decisions
  • Full in-house phone support to answer questions or concerns

While Martha Coakley's interest in insurance practices is puzzling, I agree with some of her concerns and disagree with others.

It is all well and good to stress that insurance agents and brokers do the best for our clients, (I would hope that we all have our customers in mind every day) but until agents get the resources and the technology to provide such a level of service, I would hate to be forced into it.

There is so much more that goes into giving a quote to a customer.  The cheapest is not always the best, and the cheapest will not necessarily be the cheapest next year.

Words of Wisdom
"One of my favorite brokers to approach on a new piece of business is the Brownstone Insurance Agency.  They have the most competitive pricing in the habitational marketplace. Their coverage form are suited perfect for both apartments and condo associations.  The best is that their application is a simple 3 page application. (4 if you need D&O coverage)  As long as you have a complete submission, the turnaround time is second to none.  Go Green with Brownstone - you won't be disappointed."
