Dear Brownstone brokers,

There have been many changes with regards to the economy, insurance laws and real estate trends just within the past 3 years, challenging brokers to be at the top of their game in order to be successful.

In this newsletter, Brownstone will provide you with some tips for generating quality leads, interesting facts about the ever-changing landscape of the insurance industry and how Brownstone is here to help.

Brownstone Insurance goes beyond selling insurance policies and we are here to support our brokers.
3 Easy Ways to Generate More Leads
Brownstone is here to help you generate leads! Here are 3 simple things you can do as an insurance professional to increase the number and the quality of your sales leads and inquiries.

Take a look through this short list and see which of them you are already doing, and how you could incorporate the ones you are not doing into your business.

1. Ask
Think of all the contacts you already have.  These people are already familiar with you and with your ideal customer.  Are you asking these contacts to introduce you to their associates to broaden your connection?  Do you ask them for recommendations?  Motivate your contacts to act by proving that you are worthy of their approval.

2. Make it Easy for People to Contact You
If you want people to contact you, you need to make it easy for them.  List your phone number, email address, and even social networking account information on any marketing materials.  Marketing materials include business cards, websites, pamphlets, blogs, emails, etc.  With so many people utilizing social networking sites such as Twitter, Facebook and Linked In, it would be silly not to let people know that they may contact you via those sites.

3. Utilize Your Email Signature
You probably send and receive dozens of emails everyday.  Why not make those work to your advantage by showcasing your full contact information in an attractive custom signature? Creating one is fairly simple in email clients such as Microsoft Outlook and GMail, and the benefit is that you are able to finish each and every email with a professional-looking signature that displays your name, email address (just to make it easier for the recipient to see), website (which should then be linked to your actual site), business address if it applies, account information for social networking sites and phone number.  People then have quick, easy access to all of your methods of communication, and are able to quickly navigate to your blog or business website by clicking the link in your signature.

A Minute With Monty...
Monty

Some questions have no solid answers.  "When will the economy turn around?"  "Will the hard market ever return?"  "Will the Bruins ever win another Stanley Cup?"  These are all questions with no answers.  We hope that all of these things will happen, but you can't lose sleep over it.

We sit and wonder when the hard market will return.  Heck, half the people I know in this business have never experienced a hard market.

What does "hard market" even mean, you ask?  Continue reading to find out.

Words of Wisdom
"I have been working with Brownstone Insurance for the past five years and from the outset, the Brownstone team has provided timely, accurate, and competitive quotes for master policies of insurance. The product is tailored for master policies and their new 'All Inclusive' endorsement has really set their product apart from the competition. I heartily recommend Brownstone Insurance! By the way, Dale Spakowski is fabulous to work with and her response to my quote requests is great."
