New Peppers for 2011 to see NOW!

Trip to Cozumel, Mexico and the Caymans in search of New Hot Peppers.

New "Salsa in a Box", Transplanting and fertilizing Chiles, Growing tips, Tons of new pics and more!!

Cozumel wasn't all Business and no play.
Here we are Cruising to Caymans and then to Cozumel.

I received a lot of mail lately about when to start fertilizing.  When your Peppers have 4 to 6 leaves, it's time.

Here's Chef Marco that let us into his Kitchen and showed us around.
We found this Restaurant way off the beaten path...about 12 blocks from the Cozumel Commercial strip.  The Chicken was an old Mayan recipe.  The Seafood was HOT and so delicious.  Appetizers were Jalapeno's stuffed with Seafood.
When I ordered "Extra" HOT Sauce...the Habs came with Charred Habanero Plant leaves mixed with the Sauce.  Delicious.
We brought back some new and exciting Peppers that we're testing.

Peppers, Peppers and more Peppers.
If you're into Chiles, the Caribbean is the place for you. I saw more "Pepper themes" than in my own Kitchen.

2 is better than 1....4 is better than 2....

Plant extra Hot Pepper Plants...some will unexpectedly not make it, some you can give to neighbors and friends, etc. It's always better to have extra.

Seeds are so relatively inexpensive compared to Fresh Produce you can afford to splurge on them.

Don't get al worked up in a "Tizzy"...Life is short so let's enjoy it.
Wanna REALLY have fun?
Join my Pepper Joe Facebook Page and have a blast!!

Don't forget...a Pepper Joe Gift Certificate could be the Perfect Gift for Mothers Day or Fathers Day. All seeds are 100% guaranteed to have a high germination % for over a year.

 NEW Chiles growing for 2011.
I discovered this fantastic Chile in Cozumel Mexico.  It's dried in this pic.  Grows easy and is so tasty.  If all goes well you'll see it in our 2011 Catalog.  We're always searching for New and exciting Hot Peppers.

Here's the all NEW "Giant Sweet Mama" with European roots.  You've got to see this Chile to believe it.  My Turkish Cayenne grow to 10" or 11" , but this 12" Monster is so thick fleshed, wide and heavy, it's a meal by itself.  It's great Fried, Stuffed or eaten raw. Look for it hopefully in 2011.

SURVEY:
I need your Feedback please.  My only Sweet Pepper, the "Sweet Crimson" sells very well so apparently my Customers like Sweet Peppers too.  Personally, I love them.
My question is...would you buy Sweet Peppers from Pepper Joe's if we had more selection?
I'm test growing some this year that are absolutely delicious.

Drop me an email to pepperjoe@sc.rr.com with your opinion.
Thank You.

This is the Best Garden I've ever had.
I guess we're all still learning...I'm truly still a "Student of Gardening" because it's a constantly evolving thrill. Everything is growing so green and lush so far.  These are Asian Greens, Spring Onions, Lettuce, Radish, Rabe, and more.  I attribute some of the success to the Cinder paths that prevent Soil Compaction, a Truckload of Mushroom Compost and a new product, BiotoMax that puts beneficial Bacteria and Fungi (Millions of Spores...or tiny seeds)  into the soil.
I'll keep ya posted.

BLACK GOLD....
Here's my Home made Compost Pile that is heating up.
I made it with Pressure treated wood and large metal stakes screwed into the sides to keep it stable.
When I side dress the Pepper Plants and Tomato plants with this in a few weeks, they really take off!
 I never met a Tomato that I didn't like....well ALMOST never.

I don't like Supermarket Tomatoes and their High Prices.  Everyone can grow tomatoes at home in Containers or in your Garden.  They are Nutritious...and Delicious.  Plus you save Big $$$$.  There's still time to order.  Try the 4-Pack Peat Pots....just add water and they take off.

Well, like "Bowser" with Sha Na Na used to say..."I hate to say it but it's time to go, Goodnight Sweetheart, Goodnight".

If you're under 40 you won't get that one.

:)

Great Gardening and Fiery Regards,
Pepper Joe
