Paul Woznicki, Cultural Hegemony or The New Pangaea
Cultural Hegemony or The New Pangea
Featuring work by Paul Woznicki

Forum Artspace

Closing, January 20, 5-10p

Paul's work explores the tools and methodologies required for this development, specifically the shipping container. Its presence and impact are integral to our quality of life, technologies, global views, the world as we know it. It is curious that such an object exists so prevalently, yet it often lives out of sight and out of mind.  Closing reception January 20, 5-10p, other viewings welcomed by appointment. Facebook event

Debra Sue Solecki and Mark Moskovitz
(inside smARTspace at 78th)

Debra Sue Solecki's work takes realism in nature and transforms it into studies in texture and abstract composition, by using a macro-lens approach with her subjects.  Mark Moskovitz will be sharing some furniture and design work, featuring "Facecord," a chest of drawers that appears to be built from hewn and stacked wood.

Cleveland West Art League is open every Third Friday of the month from 6-10p and by appointment.  Please email
cwartleague@gmail.com or hidebrasue@yahoo.com to schedule a visit! Coming up in February: "Cold Feet" all-member show at Loop in Tremont.  Click here for more CWAL news.

Duplicities
Featuring new works by Derek Gelvin & Jim Leach

Opening January 20, 5-10p

legation's latest exhibition welcomes back sculpture and installation artist Derek Gelvin along with emerging artist Jim Leach.  Derek Gelvin's current work focuses on serious issues in contemporary society yet offers a different viewpoint through humor. With an interest in traditional story-telling, artist Jim Leach invites us to use his work as the starting point to create our own. The exhibition showcases new sculptures and installations from Gelvin and Leach, artists with two very different interests and artistic processes, yet tied together by their duplicitous nature. legation is open every THIRD FRIDAY 5-10p and by appointment (please contact Hilary Aurand at 216.650.4201 or legation1300@gmail.com).
