Step into Love Gazing sessions with Lynne Mc Cabe -
July 14,
1:00 PM to 5:00 PM
-
Ready to experience unconstrained love? Feel Lynne's powerful gaze into the audience as Mother Mary flows through her as a conduit. Some individuals have stated that they have seen angels present in the room, others feel a shift in their bodies, and some feel a sense of well being or happiness come over them. There are some individuals that don't experience anything, but that's okay, because everyone is different. This is a personal experience, and some have reported days or weeks later their illness has disappeared, or their prayers are now materalizing before their eyes in a miraculous way. (If you are familiar with Braco, then you will love this event!)
There are four sessions that start on the hour and last 45 - 50 minutes (The gaze is 5-10 minutes long.) We suggest that you bring a picture of your child, someone in the hospital, senior citizens or those unable to travel to a gazing session with you. This energy affects people through photos brought by family or friends to a session in a similar way as being physically present.
It is strongly recommended that people with illnesses are advised to follow the guidance of their doctor before and after attending a gazing session. Women who are pregnant should not attend a gazing session after their third month of pregnancy. Children may be overwhelmed by the energy, so it is required that an individual be 18 years of age or over to attend a gazing session.
$8/session;  (269) 964-2509;  stepintolovenow@gmail.com;  http://www.stepintolove.com

Jason & Ginger

The Indiana - based Americana acoustic duo of Jason & Ginger are making their Crazy Wisdom debut, and it's going to be a night to remember!  Born in Kansas, Jason Fickel was bitten by the blues bug as a teenager. He headed South to Mississippi, where he apprenticed himself to blues masters James "Son" Thomas and Othar Turner.  He later journeyed to the Midwest, where he further honed his songwriting craft.  Jason's slide guitar and wry lyrics create a musical experience whose roots are nourished by the powerful versatility of vocalist Ginger Curry. Born in Alabama and raised in the rich traditions of gospel music, her voice communicates the wide range of the human experience from barrelhouse blues to soul-stirring ballads.  You can learn more about them at http://jasonandginger.com.

Saturday, July 14 -

The Alejandra O'Leary Band

Alejandra O'Leary is a pop-rock singer raised on timeless melodies, big harmonies, and rock n' roll. Currently based in Ann Arbor, she grew up listening to the Beatles and 1960s girl groups while leading high school bands in Portland, Maine, where she honed her pop craft and rock-goddess stage presence. After graduating from Yale and touring with two Battle of the Beatles Band winners, she moved to New York City to pursue her musical career.  While often compared to Liz Phair, Alejandra is equally adept at headlining rock n' roll shows on large stages and performing stripped-down acoustic sets that showcase the simple beauty of her tunes.

Alejandra's last CD of awesome pop-rock songs, "Broken Mirror Baby", was released in the fall of 2011 and lauded as "swathed in charming tone and delicious pop melodies," and excites and delights in equal measure.  A third CD with her full band is also in the works!  Learn more about her at www.alejandraoleary.com.

Cosmic Nutrition: The Taoist Approach to Health and Longevity
By Mantak Chia, William U. Wei
List Price: $24.95
Our Price: $17.47
(Save: $7.49 30%)

Achieve vibrant health by combining ancient Taoist principles, modern alternative health practices, and acid-alkaline balance - Offers complete guidelines on what to eat for different yin-yang constitutions, specific health problems and organ systems, and energetic conditions - Provides detailed information on fasting, detoxification, and food combining for acid-alkaline and yin-yang balance - Includes illustrated guides to several self-diagnostic methods from the East, allowing you to interpret your body's signs before disease manifests The human body, like all phenomena in nature, possesses the inherent power of self-regeneration when the conditions of true health are adopted. In Cosmic Nutrition, Taoist Master Mantak Chia and senior Universal Tao teacher William Wei reveal the secret to true health and longevity: keeping all four bodies--physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual--vibrant and balanced. They show you how to work with the four bodies through simple, step-by-step nutritional and energetic practices for everyday life. Combining the ancient Taoist principles of yin and yang energy with acid-alkaline balance and metabolic body types, the authors offer complete guidelines on what to eat for different yin-yang constitutions, specific health problems and organ systems, and energetic conditions. They provide an easy-to-follow food combining method for acid-alkaline and yin-yang balance, recipes for healing meals, detailed information on fasting and detoxification, and illustrated guides to several self-diagnostic methods from the East that allow you to interpret your body's signs before disease manifests. Dispelling the myth of germs as the cause of disease, they reveal the cancerous dangers of too much protein or pharmaceutical drugs. They also examine the life-force-increasing and youth-renewing benefits of powerful "superfoods" such as sprouts and specific vitamins and minerals. Exploring emotional and mental balance, the authors explain the psychological aspects of yin and yang and offer simple practices to release fear and worries, promote inner calm, and build a positive attitude. Balancing body, mind, and blood chemistry, this book lays out the Universal Tao's holistic path to a long and happy life.

Why Does the World Exist?: An Existential Detective Story
By Jim Holt
List Price: $27.95
Our Price: $19.57
(Save: $8.39 30%)

Whether framed philosophically as Why is there a world rather than nothing at all or more colloquially as But, Mommy, who made God the metaphysical mystery about how we came into existence remains the most fractious and fascinating question of all time. Following in the footsteps of Christopher Hitchens, Roger Penrose, and even Stephen Hawking, Jim Holt emerges with an engrossing narrative that traces our latest efforts to grasp the origins of the universe. As he takes on the role of cosmological detective, the brilliant yet slyly humorous Holt contends that we might have been too narrow in limiting our suspects to God vs. the Big Bang. Whether interviewing a cranky Oxford philosopher, a Physics Nobel Laureate, or a French Buddhist monk, Holt pursues unexplored and often bizarre angles to this cosmic puzzle. The result is a brilliant synthesis of cosmology, mathematics, and physics one that propels his own work to the level of philosophy itself.
