Friday, June 15 -

Kelsey Rottiers

Somewhere between uplifting and heartbreaking, Kelsey Rottiers' fresh and real compositions bring a new perspective to the concept of forgiveness. With lyrics born out of vulnerability and strength, songs like "In the Rising Tide" echo "I'll be wading in the water" with the audience lifting their voices together like a church choir. Kelsey's music merges folk and indie sustenance with pop simplicity that will be imprinted in your mind like a brilliant sunset.

With eleven years of training under her belt after graduating from the Contemporary Music Center on Martha's Vineyard and receiving her Bachelor's Degree in Music at Cornerstone University in Grand Rapids, Michigan, Kelsey was joined by Derek Turcsanyi (guitarist, back-up singer, choir member, idea man) in 2009. Although there have been a few other rotating musicians on bass and drums since, The Rising Tide has become more of a concept than a traditional band. Whether solo, duo, or full band, the original style and honesty breeds music with hope and forgiveness.  www.kelseyrottiers.com

Assam Kama Black Satrupa

From the Satrupa Estate in the Tinsukia district of Assam. This Assam has jet-black, long twisted leaves and a clean, mountain aroma. The tea yields a bright copper cup with a smooth, rich taste. The thick, creamy and malty flavor of this Assam makes it a good choice for your morning tea on its own or with milk, cream or sweetener.
Not to be missed, for the Assam lover this is the best we tested before adding it to the Crazy Wisdom Tearoom menu.
Brew tea at 212º - steep for 3 minutes.
Contains: Black tea leaves
