Friday, February 3 - The Delta Twins
What can you expect from a couple of guys who grew up listening to music in Detroit and Chicago during the 1960's, 70's, and 80's? Everything from blues to rock to folk to gospel and then some!  Put it all in a blender and you have the Delta Twins "sound".
Delta Twins are a Farmington-based Blues/Americana band that sounds like Tom Petty meets John Mayer at B.B. King's night club. Delta Twins is powered by the twin engines of Bob Young (vocals, acoustic & electric guitar, blues harp, keyboards, loops) and Tom Kozanecki (acoustic & electric guitars, resonator, mandolin, bass, percussion). This duo is known for passionate, original songs that get your feet moving, your heart beating and your soul leaping.  Their funky, rootsy blues/folk/rock sound hits you at your core; it sounds familiar, yet unique, all at the same time! www.deltatwins.com

Saturday, February 4 - David Nefesh

A six-time nominee in the Detroit Music Awards, David burst onto the music scene in 1999, and has written 100+ songs and released three albums since then.  His style is folk-rock at its best:  Good-energy contemporary folk blended with pop and rock influences along with a universal message that appeals to anyone interested in love, pain, joy and honest living. His work blends a powerful clear voice, strong melodic sensibilities, poetic lyrics, and polished guitar playing. www.davidnefesh.com

The Demi-Monde: Winter
(Hardcover)
By Rod Rees
List Price: $26.99
Our Price: $18.89
(Save: $8.10 30%)

"You can't help getting caught up in the smartly-paced story...which is served up with lashings of steampunk relish."
-SFX (UK)
"Rees makes the book work: the world he's created is a psychopathic nightmare."
-The Guardian
In the Demi-Monde, author Rod Rees has conjured up a terrifying virtual reality, a world dominated by history's most ruthless and bloodthirsty psychopaths-from Holocaust architect Reinhard Heydrich to Torquemada, the Spanish Inquisition's pitiless torturer, to Josef Stalin's bloodthirsty right-hand man/monster, the infamous Beria. The Demi-Monde: Winter kicks off a brilliant, high concept series that blends science fiction and thriller, steampunk and dystopian vision. If Neil Gaiman, Neal Stephenson, James Rollins, and Clive Cussler participated in Suzanne Collins's The Hunger Games, the result might be something akin to the dark and ingenious madness of Rees's The Demi-Monde: Winter.

Resonance: Nine Practices for Harmonious Health and Vitality
(Hardcover)
By Joyce Hawkes
List Price: $24.95
Our Price: $17.47
(Save: $7.49 30%)

In Resonance, internationally respected cell biologist and healing facilitator, Joyce Hawkes, Ph.D., offers the best of science, spirit, and storytelling. Richly detailed with Joyce's experiences studying shamanic healing in South East Asia and stories of the people she has assisted back to health, this book will allow readers to explore their own ability to heal at every level. They will discover current research and fascinating findings about the language of their cells and how these tiny constituents of the body communicate, connect, and touch. Alongside this biological backdrop, they'll find fresh mind-body imagery, insights, and empowering healing techniques that will take them on a deep inner journey.
Throughout the book, Hawkes also describes the profound, numinous experiences she shared with shamans, priests, and healers. Each chapter is presented as a couplet-two words, two related ideas that together provide a simple, grounded starting place for a personal practice of health and vitality. Resonance gives readers valuable tools to enhance their health at the cell-level, their spirit at the soul-level, and their consciousness at the mystery-level.

In the Shadow of the Buddha: One Man's Journey of Discovery in Tibet
(Paperback)
By Matteo Pistono
List Price: $16.00
Our Price: $11.20
(Save: $4.80 30%)

"Part spy thriller, part Dharma travelogue, part spiritual autobiography . . . 100 percent page-turner."
-Daniel Goleman, author of Emotional Intelligence

For nearly a decade, Matteo Pistono evaded Chinese security and smuggled out photos of prisons, secret documents, and firsthand interviews of torture victims and other atrocities committed by the Chinese government. Yet Pistono had not initially gone to Tibet to fight for human rights-but as a Buddhist pilgrim.
After Pistono became the student of a venerated meditation master in Tibet, he began couriering messages to him from the Dalai Lama in India. This began an extraordinary adventure. In the Shadow of the Buddha is both a vivid account of how Tibet's rich spiritual past is slipping away under repression, and the story of one man who merged political activism with Buddhist mysticism in pursuit of freedom and peace.
