Artisans' Gallery & Cafe
Fall is in the air so that means it's time to bring out the "hot cider".  Northstar Orchard will again this year provide us with their apple cider.  Also this weekend, we will have one of our seasonal soups, Butternut Squash. Our OVC specialty blend is a French Roast.  This coffee is deep, Smokey, and rich with flavors of bittersweet chocolate, vanilla, and a touch of peppercorn. But most importantly, though it is our darkest coffee, it is complex and not nearly as dominated by roast flavors as most blends representing this style. Tres bien!  Purchase a bag of French Roast and you will receive "2" punches on your Coffee Club card. Weekly Special ....for breakfast or lunch, try our baked Quiche with fruit and add a 12 oz. Artisans House Coffee for $5.00.  Breakfast scone + 12 oz. house coffee for $3.00 or sandwich wrap + cold beverage (iced tea, iced coffee, or lemonade) for $7.00.

Charlestown Farm Our ever popular Asian Greens Mix is back!  We'll have tender arugula, spinach and salad mix too. The greens season has returned.

Ellen April Handcrafted Soap will be back at the market this week with lots of luxurious, essential oil soaps including a new one this week... lemongrass & clay. Stop by for a free sniff!  Earth Energy Herbs

Forks Farm will be back with grass fed beef!

John and Kira's Chocolates
We have two great items this weekChocolate Pumpkins - Dark chocolate, silky caramel, fall spices . . all magically transformed into our enchanting Caramel and Spice Chocolate Pumpkins. Each 62% dark chocolate shell is meticulously painted by hand and finished with it's own chocolate stem.

Tortoises - We took Aesop's Fable, The Tortoise and The Hare, to heart when we were creating these new confections. Making the caramel we use in our variation of the classic "turtle" is definitely a slow and steady process. The tortoises can be found in two delicious flavors Maple Pecan and Cinnamon Cashew.

Marci's Morsels will be at the market with lots of Gluten Free and Vegan Gluten Free treats including gluten free cinnamon buns.
 North Star Orchard
We'll have lots of Hosui Asian pears, plus apples and cider (both apple and Asian pear). Veggies will include lettuce, kale, Yukon gold potatoes, and maybe the first broccoli of the fall!

Farmer Ike's Pick of the Week: Crimson Crisp
These are very shiny and rock-hard to the touch. Fabulously flavorful, they make a great apple for snacking because of both their crunch and their lovely sweet flavor.
Farmer Ike originally planted these because he liked the description of the apples. From 30 original trees, 27 died from fireblight when they were 3 years old. "Well, that's that!" Farmer Ike thought, "So much for Crimson Crisp."

But then we got to try the fruit, and WOW! Ok, they were allowed a second go-'round, so he planted a bunch more trees, which have been producing faithfully and flavorfully ever since!

If you love our Asian Pears as much as we do, take a look at
this video  to learn a little about the challenges we face to grow them!

Hello Market Shoppers!

It's the third Saturday of the month and that means that the Phoenixville Hospital will join us to conduct free blood pressure screenings.  We will have a great lineup of healthful fruits and vegetables and this week, WILD for Salmon will have a full supply of their wild caught salmon from the pristine waters of Alaska.  The salmon is full of omega-3 fatty acids that are so good for you!  You may not know that meat from grass fed animals is also loaded with Omega-3s as are pasture raised eggs.  You can read all about it here.

This week we will welcome Sips Bistro & Bar of 400 Bridge Street as a special guest.  They will serve samples from their menu that were made with ingredients from some of our farmers.  Be sure to grab a taste while you are shopping and then stop by their restaurant sometime for a delicious meal.

If you are over 18 and do not have a photo ID to vote, members of the non-partisan PA Voter ID Coalition will be on hand to help you apply for one.

Take a look at the News From Our Producers to make your shopping list and then come on down to see us at the Market!
