Hello Market Shoppers!
It looks like it will be MUCH cooler at tomorrow's market and for the coming week. It will be a great week to cook and also to can and freeze some of the great produce at the Market. Why not pick up some extra tomatoes and make sauce for the winter? You can check out for some great tips and ideas by local author and canning expert, Marisa McClellan. It's the Third Saturday of the month, so the Phoenixville Hospital will join us for health screenings. Earth Energy Herbs, a natural backyard apothecary will join us as well. Eating fresh local food is one of the best (and tastiest!) ways to stay healthy. Be sure to stock up on the colorful and flavorful bounty while it is in season. And of course, pasture raised meats, dairy and poultry are loaded with omega-3 fatty acids so don't forget to stock on these items too!
