Artisan's Cafe:
For the month of May we are featuring One Village Coffee's Honduras Marcala SHG. T his is definitely a coffee you can feel good about buying. Supporting children? Check. Supporting sustainable agriculture? Check. And it tastes great too! Grown in the La Paz region of Honduras at an average of 5,000 feet above sea level, this coffee is processed using the washed method producing a noticeable cleanness in the cup. Because of this coffee's Organic and Fair Trade certifications, its producers have been able to get a fair price which has led to the construction of some excellent schools, fair wages for the teachers, and a nutritious lunch program. But before lunch comes breakfast, which smooth transitions us to our final point: Honduras Marcala a great breakfast coffee. Fifty cents of each bag of coffee sold will be donated back to the La Paz region for its humanitarian projects.

::
Hello Market Shoppers!

This coming Saturday is the 2nd Saturday of the month and that means that local artists will come with great gifts for Mother's Day.

Of course we will also have great local food!  Most of our producers come to the market on a weekly basis, but some come less frequently. If you want to know when a specific producer is coming you can go to this page and click on the producer's name.

Many of you got a chance to try Philly Bill's Pickles last week, but they sold out early.  They will return later in the month and then will come on a weekly basis.

It looks like the weather will be beautiful tomorrow.  Come on down to the market to enjoy the sunshine, listen to great music and get some great local food!
