EASTER Market!
 Hello Market Shoppers!

Spring is officially here even though it has felt like spring all winter! We will have lots of great food at our next market this coming Saturday, March 24th from 10am to noon. We hope you will come on down to the market to get your favorite fresh, local food!  Our farmers and artisans love coming to the market so much that they asked to have a special Easter Market on April 7th, so mark your calendars and be sure to order an Easter Ham from Country Time Farm if you would like one.

Birchrun Hills Farm will NOT be at the market this week.  Sue Miller, co-owner and cheese maker extraordinaire, is on the board of PASA (PA Association for Sustainable Agriculture) and their annual meeting is in Harrisburg on Saturday.  Sue, along with John Hopkins of Forks Farm who is also on the board, works tirelessly not only on her own farm, but on behalf of all small farmers through her work at PASA.  Thank you Sue!

This week, Spotted Hill Farm will return with soaps made using milk from their adorable and much loved goats.

WILD for Salmon will be here for only 2 more markets (March 24 and April 14th) before they head north to catch a new supply.  Be sure to stock up if you have freezer space!

This week St. Peters Bakery is featuring a mushroom soup made with mushrooms form our favorite mushroom growers Joe and Angela Evans of Oley Valley Mushrooms.

Many of our producers take pre-orders for winter markets and Backyard Bison sells by pre-order only.  If you don't want to miss your favorite food, please read each producer's listing below.

Don't forget to read this email to see what is available, make your list, contact
the farmers to place your orders, and then come to our regular location between
10 am and noon on Saturday to pick up your delicious, local food.  You might even see your neighbors and market friends!

Helpful Hint:
This newsletter is packed with information.  You can click on a vendor's name on the sidebar to go directly to his or her product list.

Please forward this email to friends and family that you think may be interested in signing up for our email list so they can participate in our special Winter Markets. (There is a link all the way at the bottom of the email to forward it -- thanks!)

See you at the Market!!

This week's featured OVC's coffee is Colombia Sierra Neva.  The group of farmers who grow this amazing Colombian do so with the goals of protecting the environment and keeping equilibrium in the ecosystem. The age old methods they use to grow such great coffee were taught to them by their "older brothers" of Arhuaco ethnicity. They call their coffee "kia" which is an Arhuaco word meaning natural or authentic. This coffee is a testament to their hard work. The Colombia Sierra Nevada is clean in the cup with flavors of citrus, herbs and vanilla. As a bonus, if you purchase a bag of this week's featured coffee, you will receive 2 punches on your Coffee Club Card.
For the upcoming Easter Holiday, we will be taking orders on our quiche pies.  Pickup an order form at the market this weekend or send an email to rosemarie@artisansgallery-cafe.com

All pies are made with the finest ingredients and freshly made for pickup on April 7th.
