Hello Market Shoppers!
There are oh so many reasons to come to the market this coming Saturday! We have LOTS and LOTS of artists selling unique handmade items perfect for gifts. And if that isn't reason enough, North Star Orchard will be here with the very last apples of the season! Of course most of our regular farmers and artisan bakers will be here too. Make sure you scroll down to the sections below to read about ALL of the goodies that will be here this week!
Don't hesitate to bring your little ones to the Market. Bundle them up and come on down to the children's area which will be stocked with toys and books.
Remember, the Market will be open next Saturday, December 17th, too,from 10am to noon.

Artisans Cafe
Don't forget to stock up on our One Village Artisans House Blend for the holiday. Put it together with a handmade mug from local artists and a Gift Card from Artisans and you have a perfect gift for the office Grap Bag or a co-worker.

To help with your holiday meal preparations, we will be taking orders on our whole quiche pies. To order, you can fill out an order form at the Market which list all the varieties available or you can send an email to rosemarie@artisansgalley-cafe.com by the Wednesday prior to the market. Varieties available - Roasted Vegetable, Lorraine-Bacon and Onion, Italian Vegetable, Spinach & Mushroom, Roasted Red Peppers, Broccoli & Cheddar, Tomato Bacon & Cheddar, Spinach & Mushroom, Asparagus Cheddar, Ham & Broccoli, Spinach Lorraine.
Backyard Bison
Bison is great for holiday meals. Stop by my stand to ask for recipes and suggestions.
I am offering whole Bison Tenderloins at the restaurant price of $25 per pound. These vary from about 4.5 to 7 pounds each. These will be on a pre-order basis. If you want one of these, just let me know about what size you would like, and let me know by 7:00 pm on the Friday night before the Saturday when you want it. Baues' Busy Bees
We'll have an assortment of candles, tapers in all colors, Christmas Trees in two sizes, snowmen and Santa and pillars.
This week we also have gifts packaged priced from $10.75 to $14.75 ready for pickup
Candles make a great gift. We have many items under $10.00 that make great Teacher's gift. Honey, soap, beeswax creams, lotion and balms great protection for your skin and they also make a great gift.
We'll have raw honey in various size jars, and bee pollen.
Birchrun Hills
Our cheeses make quick and easy appetizers to take a long to a Holiday party. They are also welcome hostess gifts. AT this busy time of the year, here are a few quick and easy dinners ideas from Birchrun Hills Farm...
-Grilled veal burgers with Birchrn Blue cheese

We are still taking orders for doubled smoked hams, and pork florentine boneless roast, will have new this week smoked breakfast sausage,made with veal and pork, also patties, pork cubes, ground pork, chops, boneless sirloin pork roast. All ham orders will be delivered on the 24 Dec.

I will have most of my menu available this week. I will have some pastured turkeys available for Christmas. Ordering early will be necessary. I am offering the turkeys on special for $3.99lb. That is a savings of $1.00 per pound. That's my way of saying thank-you for supporting me all year long. Hope to see everyone on Saturday !
North Star OrchardThis weekend, we'll be coming to market with Gold Rush apples, Reinette Simerenko apples, and an assortment of veggies (both storage crops and some stuff fresh from the garden).
We have a few bags of Gold Rush left, for those of you who need another (or new) 20lb. bag. You must pre-order bags of Gold Rush, and can do so here.
Oley Valley Mushrooms

Reis RenditionsDeb and Rick, based in Charlestown Township, are juried in  the Chester County Craft guild and sell handcrafted work at the market. Their useful and beautiful artwork mixes multiple medias to create unique gifts and decorations. The items include clocks, desk accessories, frames, baskets and jewelry, which each combine different natural wood and rocks. The wood and rock are cut and polished from raw materials to retain their natural beauty. Looking Ahead
We will have great holiday music next Saturday with a cappella carols sung by Lynda Hytha and friends and a live trumpet performance by Marvin Andersen.
Of course there will be great food from all of our regular farmers and bakers and local artists as well.
