Hello Market Shoppers!

The weather will be much cooler by Saturday, just in time for our annual Fiber Fest, featuring local wool and woolen hand made products.  Back for the 7th year is Angel's Wool Farm.  Those of you who have been to the fest before will remember seeing Cindy spin wool together with fur plucked from her angora rabbit sitting right on her lap.  It is a sight to see!

Members of the Phoenixville Spinners and Needleworkers Group will also be at the Market demonstrating and selling their wares.  The group  is sponsored by The  Phoenixville Library and  meets in the Community Room on the lower level of the library on the fourth Tuesday of every month from  6:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.   Group members work on various projects such as crocheting, knitting, cross-stitch, and fiber spinning.  The public is always welcome to join them!

Of course market regulars Kimberton Hills Camphill Village will join us with their spinning wheels and crafts as will local spinner Dale Burch.  Anyone who has a spinning wheel is welcome to come sit and spin at the market.

Both Jenny and Farnk's Gelato and Mompops are taking a break this week, but THEY WILL BE BACK on October 8th when we welcome artists on Second Saturday.

There may be a stray shower on Saturday but the Fiber Fest is RAIN or SHINE.  We've got lots of shelter under the bridge.

See you at the Market!

News from our Producers

Aritsans Gallery & Cafe:

October's Artist of the Month exhibit will be featuring Artwork form the Public Eye.  The Public Eye is a Philadelphia-area group that produces public events featuring the arts. They focus on the interactions between human and nonhuman animals in order to shed light on hidden or ignored injustices and to promote a cruelty-free lifestyle. Public Eye is a project of Mobilization for Animals (PA), a 501C3 nonprofit organization. This week at the Market we will be bringing One Village India Monsooned blend.  This unique coffee gets its flavor from a process called monsooning. After the coffee is harvested at the peak of ripeness, it is stored in a monsooning building that has a roof and short sides, allowing the warm moist monsoon winds to permeate and expand the coffee to twice its original size. After 12-16 months, it is redried, sorted, and packaged for shipment.  For the "Fall" weather, we have Northstar Farms hot cider & our own blend of hot chocolate for the non-coffee drinkers and for the children!
