Willow Creek Orchard Drew and Melissa Smith
One word: ASPARAGUS!Willow Creek Orchards is a family farm located in central Montgomery
County, Worcester Township, Pennsylvania. Their land has been a working
farm since 1754 when German Schwenkfelder settler Anna Wagner came to
the farm with her three children. The land has rich agricultural
history and has been farmed for grain crops, it was a well-known potato
farm throughout the early part of the 20th century, transitioned to a
dairy farm, and cropped to field corn prior to the Smith's arrival in 2002. Drew and Melissa Smith live and work on the farm with their
daughters. They transitioned their 138 acres of farmland over a three year
period to become a USDA Certified Organic farm, effective
September of 2004. They take great care of our land using ecologically
sound practices, without synthetic chemicals.
