Achingly Exquisite
|
A Monster Calls by Patrick Ness was inspired by an idea from Siobhan Dowd and the resulting story is so elegant and so exquisite that it generates emotions which reach far beyond the printed words on the page. "The monster showed up after midnight. As they do." begins the story of Conor and the nightmare that possesses him.
The writing is stunning. The story is unforgettable. The feelings it elicits will fill your heart and break it.

Try This Great Marketing Trick
|
Angela Portal of Center Moriches Free Public Library has a great tip for marketing the library's extensive manga and manwha collection .. She pairs books with DVDs, bringing viewers to the books and readers to the videos. Her knowledge of Korean manwha, both popular ( Boys Over Flowers) and classic ( Jumong) is impressive. View this clip from Jumong - a fantastic Korean series!
Thanks for sharing Angela.
