Relax with us at Ultimate DIY on Tuesday. Be sure to pencil in December 2 for the last YA meeting of 2008. It promises to be a very informative session.

Teen Spaces

Sayville YA cornerSayville Teens
Sayville Teen Corner brings to life the adage "Good Things Come in Small Packages." Tucked away in a small space, and highlighted by a stained glass sign suspended from the ceiling, Sayville Library has created an inviting space for young adults. Comfortable seating surrounds a collection of teen books and DVDs.  Because space is at a premium, teens may check out laptops from the desk, and locate upcoming programs from a bulletin board near the stairway. Megan Karaptis has also found a creative way to display new books.
It is clear that teens enjoy the library and come often.  They are recognized by name and receive a friendly smile.

Megan looks forward to the new library space, where young adults will have a larger area. Until then, the creative use of space at Sayville is very impressive.
